KING & COUNTRY DISPATCHES -- August 2023 (2 Viewers)

Yes, it certainly does my friend…However from a commercial point of view…WW2, Vietnam and other series like t’The Cattle Drive’ have always far outsold ‘The Alamo’…Even in San Antonio!
However when time allows I will ‘Return To The Alamo’ and have got some very good ideas already in hand.
Best wishes and…Happy Collecting!
Andy.

Great point, can totally see where you are coming from, as you have to make what sells and not always what people ask you to make. i do not think i have met more than 2 or 3 people who collect the Alamo range, but multitudes that collect Naps, WW2, Vietnam, etc.. Plus i looked back and those sets have been out a long time, they certainly took a long time to sell out/retire. Long time to hold stock, a lot of money tied up.

I always imagine your warehouse to be a bit like the Toy soldier collectors version of the a kids sweet shop, if you let many of us collectors in we would get a headache from the excitment and many would probably have to be dragged out shouting and screaming.

Having spoken to Andy on several occasions I understand that storage in Hong Kong is expensive and in any case it would be poor business to continue ranges that are slow sellers.

I can appreciate the disappointment of collectors when they don't see figures from 'their' range in monthly Dispatches, constant moaning is unlikely to change Andy's mind, but sometimes you can get lucky {sm4}

I always think of dispatches the same, as when there is something i want for my collection then great, but if there is not then i get the chance to spend my budget on 'catching up' on the altready released stuff i have yet to buy. I get dissappointed, but as collectors we will never get exactly what we want, but sometimes get what we did not know we wanted it until it was released.

If you only collect one k&c range and you have everything including non released products ( figures from the san jacinto diorama ) then its hard to be a collector . WB have released more Alamo figures in the last 12 months than K&C and then its only 7

Whilst I sympathise with your predicament that you only collect one particular K&C range I, on behalf of K&C, have to try and cater for the needs and requirements of the majority of our other collectors who are interested in a broad variety of our many different series which are also more commercially popular.
As earlier stated I do indeed intend to ‘Return To The Alamo’…just not at this particular time.
Best wishes and … ‘Remember The Alamo!’
Andy.

Hi Andy

This wasnt a comment directed for you and i appreciate your first answer .

It was aimed at the veritable Walsingham/Goldmann/Barkmann ( delete as appropriate ) who thinks it is his business to get involved in anyone elses business .

Glad K&C will never forget the Alamo.
I'd also like to see some John Ford Cavalry releases/re-releases.
Paddy

Hi Guys,
I too would like to see some more John Ford Cavalry in action…both on foot and mounted…unfortunately I’ve just found out there are only 24 hours in a day and a mere 7 days in a week!

However, joking apart, I really do want to design more ‘JFC’ and some fighting Apaches to go with them ( or should that be ‘at them’). Any ways I will do what I can…

In the meantime, sound ‘Boots and Saddles!’
Adios for now,
Andy.
