King & Country Dispatches -- February 2014 (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for all the kind and supportive comments on the latest “DISPATCHES.”
A big thankyou also to the folks at Treefrog for helping to post the full “DISPATCHES” up.
And finally, an extra thankyou to Rob for all his support and help over the years and to Wayne who helped out in recent months…Thanks guys!
All the best to one and all!

BRILLIANT news - love the new LAH figures.
Only a Leni Riefenstahl with camera is missing.
Some marching NSKK or RAD figures would be nice to have in the future.

Thanks Andy for these news. Looking forward stretching my credit card to the limit (again) :wink2:

For me, more Saracen foot are very welcome - though they go on my 'to get in 2015' list.

I am surprised Andy did not thank you personally for that financial commitment.He must know he is on a winner with that kind of support{sm4}

Governments makes heaps of election promises based on anticipated earnings. I'm sure Andy can put it down in his accounts somewhere!

Could I make one request Andy for future dispatch threads. Could you make the photos a wee bit larger. It's easier on the eyes. Thanks :smile2:

Brad,
I have no idea of the technical aspects but looks like a copy of how it appears on K&C site. One of the advantages of this method is that all the text information is also included. Previously TF would start a separate thread but few seemed to read it.

More NAPs in Egypt,

that's great, as they look very animated so lets home more like will will follow on this year.

Pity to see that a couple of the troops have had to be retired... maybe the heat, sand and dust has ended their campaign,

John

This month, somehow, my orders revolve around the cross:

Red Cross
Carry your Cross and follow me
Enemies of the Cross

Brett,

It looks like some sort of pdf or image that is hyperlinked to the K & C site. I think it would be better if K & C rather than doing that way, just copy the text into the thread and insert larger photos or we may have to start doing it the old way again, although I understand the business reasons why K & C is doing it the way they are :wink2:

Brad

Best for me is the "my lady" piece which will look great with my interior castle display. Love to see some more of these at court pieces. However although I understand the business economies of hyper linking the dispatch to the K&C site, the tree frog result is less than adequate for these old eyes. I request the tree frog version return to the full size photos so I can make better visually informed decisions on what to purchase for my collection.

Respectfully
Walt Damon

I wonder where are supposed to be displayed the beds with the wounded soldiers in a diorama as they were surely not in the "open air", but in hospitals, barraks, cabins, tents, caves....Someone should be able to recreate himself a section of such a structure to display them.

One question: The dispatches say that the Allgemeine SS uniforms were designed by Hugo Boss. My understanding is this is a mis-understanding. While Hugo Boss did produce various uniforms, including SS uniforms, it was just one of many manufacturers. It had no special relationship or involvement. Do I have this wrong?

I think I will pick up the WS 266 chest wound, he will go great in a dio I had done last year with a medic building I have in use with my First Legion guys, plus my good Butcher in Aussie (who lost a small wager) :) will save a few nickels as well...Sammy

here are some close-ups of the Saracens/Knights...
