Good and bad Month for me, bad month -nothing interested in, good month for the bank balance.

it is a bit of a mix match month, bits from lots of ranges.
 
DAKs in Despair! A great series if items this month - the Corsair and flight crew are brilliant, so is the tenement building and the rest is pretty impressive range. I think Andy may be trying to save me money by not having IF or DAK but hoping for next month. Still what an imaginative range of items.

Although this series began with “The English Civil War” it has grown and expanded to include “The Thirty Years War” and even the classic novel by Alexander Dumas “The Three Musketeers”. Here are the latest four releases ... Two for “The English Civil War” and Two for the “Three Musketeers”.

PnM059 “Royalist Mounted Flagbearer”
This bold and colourful flagbearer belongs to the Royalists’ most famous cavalry regiment ... Prince Rupert’s Regiment of Horse , raised and led by the King’s own nephew Prince Rupert of the Rhine (1619-1682).
The different troops of horse within the Regiment carried a number of different standards and guidons. Our figure carries Rupert’s personal colours comprising two golden yellow lions in opposite quarters on a black ground alongside the traditional blue and white diamonds of Bavaria in the remaining two quarters.

PnM060 “The Cardinal’s Guard w/Shouldered Musket”
Just after Louis XIII raised his own personal guard company, “The Musketeers” he raised a second company to be the bodyguards of his most trusted Cardinal ... Richelieu.
A great rivalry grew up between these two bodies of fighting men ... resulting in almost ‘open-warfare’ whenever (and wherever) their separate paths crossed.
One simple way to recognize each group is by their ‘casques’ (or cassocks)... the Musketeers wore blue ... the Cardinal’s men adopted their master’s preference ... RED!
Our figure stands holding his musket rest in one hand and his musket over the shoulder.

PnM061 “The Cardinal’s Guard w/Musket At The Ready”
This second member of the Cardinal’s men prepares to discharge his loaded musket. The purpose of the rest was to ‘steady’ the very heavy weapon and make it slightly easier to aim.

PnM062 “Sergeant-At-Arms”
A senior non commissioned officer, promoted from the ranks stands with his halberd. He can accompany either Royalist or Parliamentary forces.

Really like the PnM062 “Sergeant-At-Arms” and PnM059 "Royalist Mounted Flag Bearer" both probably best suited to my English Civil War Royalist forces..Only thing is the skewbald horse colours which is a interesting choice. But certainly individual.
 
The Crusader figure along with the Humber and Tenement Buildings are on my must have list.

This standing 7th Hussar with shako in hand awaits orders for his next assignment.
*Only available direct from King & Country.

NA351X “Hussar With Sabre Drawn”
Another 7th Hussar going about his duties.
*Only available direct from King & Country.

NA352 “7th Hussar Guidon Bearer”
A mounted subaltern carrying the Regimental Guidon.

NA353 “7th Hussar w/Standing Horse”
One of the mounted escort party for the guidon .... Usually two Hussars made up the escort.

Some really nice French Napoleonic 7th Hussars.. NA351X "Hussar with Sabre Drawn" is real Must for me..Too many good figures this month! Would like some British Napoleonic 10th Hussars in time.:cool:

The re-releases of which there are a few, specifically for me, the Lawrence atop camel, LoA014 are re-sculpts or have just been (as it suggests) re-released as they were? A cancellation of retirement so to speak?

Is this likely to increase more? I hold a fair number of retired items and wouldn't like to see them being re-released unless dramatic re-sculpting had taken place.

The ruined tenement facade looks the same as the first issue.......maybe someone with a better eye can tell me the difference.

Above is the SP014 Tenement. I think the new one is different and looks like a single section. If the new one is the same as the old one, then I will bid adios.

It is not the same, but could extend it. The original was more a true corner of a building, this is more of a facade. More likely they would work as similar buildings on the same block.

Overall, I think I agree that using them together would only work in limited scenarios.

It's profoundly gratifying to see KC once again harvesting the interest of aviation-oriented collectors. This is going to be expensive,:eek: but (being the enthusiastic sort) we're ready to face the challenge!:D

The US Navy WWII PTO flight deck crew is impressive in its range and detail. The Corsair and Hellcat were the best Navy fighters in the PTO, but the SBD Divebomber was the war winning aircraft. An SBD for a flight deck diorama would be nice.
 
I like DD289 101st Airborne offering chocolate to French girl... will be getting this one.

The new building is definately taller in height, same compatible design. A smaller corner angle, but one is still there.

In the end, I wished that it did not have the same "damage" angles and cuts as the old one, so that when mixed together they do not look like they sustained the same "damage". Of course, many may not have the old one, and this new one on its own is pretty good.
 
A great array of fine miniatures as we always get each month :salute::, I am a little disappointed that being the 100 year anniversary of the Somme that we didn't see some more Great War figures......
