KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- June 2019 (1 Viewer)

Yes, that's exactly it, you saw through my information to see exactly where I was coming from...

Learn the facts bro and don't hate when you are corrected😉

Scott

Scott, with good intentions the bloke took the time to post a very interesting photo and you quickly proceeded to knit-pick.

You clearly have an in-depth knowledge and a passion for the period, but learn to be a little more understanding with your feedback, otherwise you just come across as being an annoying not it all.

I'm not surprised he gave you a serve, you deserved it.

WOW Larry outstanding research and very happy about the results!!!!

Would have responded earlier but lost power do to sudden high winds, rain and hail San Antonio, TX had yesterday. Power restored about 16 hours later.

Again, very happy about the results and thanks!

Carlos

Morning Carlos,
The research is part of the fun of this GREAT hobby. For me, admittedly, it was not much as WWII Pacific and the Navy is my area of interest. Along with the American Revolution, of course.

Living in Maine I understand the loss of power all to well. My wife and I had one bad stretch of NO POWER for 11 days. {eek3}
Worse it was before and after Christmas. Thankfully we have 4 fireplaces in this house and the propane driven heaters.
Thankfully, Santa did make it that year.

Having a LCVP with WWII Pacific markings was a wonderful surprise. Maybe K&C can make a generic LCVP with a set of decals so we collectors can make any one we want. Thomas Gunn did just that with their latest release of a WWII Dodge vehicle. One of the variations ACC PACK 026C Dodge comes no markings so you can make it whatever you want.

The pic of of the GI's on the landing craft, they all look young obviously, but the guy 3rd in the middle row, he looks no more than 16! How much we owe all the young men of that generation and how terrible the burden of responsibility on their shoulders. Unending gratitude to every one of them.

People are so sensitive these days.😂

Yes it was an interesting photo but if you're going to post something and not accept when you're corrected on the info then do you really belong on a public forum? If you can't stand the heat lot off the forum...

1st. Thank for the laugh guys..
2nd Yes they do look young, the 3rd guy in center doesn't look old enough to drive. What was the average age 19 to 20?

So now you’re advising that I must graciously accept your demeaning “corrections”.... or leave the forum?

Should I also call you mein fuhrer and end my posts with Heil Scott!? Huh “bud”?

(Chances are nil)

Go away.

As mentioned in the thread about King and Country's website being down: I had also spotted the RSM with the red facing in the June dispatches. Did some of this version escape onto the market place? With a bit a of adaptation to the lace, square ended equally spaced to being in pairs bastion shaped at the end he could become the RSM of the 33rd (1st Yorkshire West Riding) Regiment. Buttons would need to go silver as well. The 33rd who were at Waterloo ,were one of the small number of British Regiments to have scarlet facings.

Interested to know what regiment is being represented by this new set of British infantry. Anyone recognise the colour?

Nice set of releases. Highlight is that ambush camo Panther. The ambush camo is definitely my favourite look on the German ordinance, well done, its been awhile since we've seen that scheme. It would be nice to see some more Waffen SS in pea dot camo as well, its been awhile. I like those U.S. D-Day releases but I'd like to see some Commonwealth D-Day releases again, especially some of the armoured "funnies".

The best Panther G produced to date in 1/30-1/28 scale IMO. Superb camouflage pattern and excellent colors. Exceeds Figarti and FL examples of the Panther G. A new standard to be met or excelled. K&C now needs to make a new King Tiger at this level of quality!

E. Another transcontinental and historical leap from Texas in March 1836 to somewhere in Western Europe in late Autumn 1944.

WS351 “Panther Ausf. G.”
This is the 9th Panther K&C has produced and the first one since 2014...
This latest Panther Ausf. G is painted in the colour scheme known as ‘Hinterhalt-Tarnung’ or ‘Ambush’ camouflage specifically designed to help conceal combat vehicles under trees and other kinds of foliage.
This particular colour scheme came about from the actual battlefield experience learned from the Normandy campaign where German vehicles and tanks suffered disastrous losses from Allied fighter bomber attacks.
That necessitated a new, improved camouflage of contrasting spots and colours that simulated the shadows and shards of light passing through and under a canopy of trees and woodland.
Together with the very-recently released TIGER this new PANTHER makes a welcome addition to King & Country’s ‘BIG CAT’ Collection.
The model includes the tank commander figure and is representative of a Panther of the 2nd SS Panzer Regiment of the 2nd SS Panzer Division “Das Reich”.

WS353 “Sky-Watching Panzer Crewman”

A Sitting German ‘tanker’ scans the skies for any sign of Allied fighter-bombers.

WS354 “Relaxing Panzer Crewmen”
Two sitting German ‘ tankers ’ enjoy a rare break from battle... Both figures can ‘perch’ on various German tanks and self-propelled guns including both new Tiger and Panther models.

AVAILABLE: Mid to Late June

Many thanks for your appreciative comments...Re a new 'King Tiger'...Not just yet my friend...

Let's allow our latest 'Big Cats' ( the Tiger1 & the aforementioned Panther) a little breathing space and besides in a couple of months time K&C are releasing the mighty CENTURION!

All the best and happy collecting,
Andy.
