KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- October 2015 (1 Viewer)

I saw the MG releases in Chicago. Some, such as the para with the basket, are nicely done. I will be picking that up.

Kudos as well on the Honey and Indian troops. The Honey has been a long time coming :wink2:

And here are some more kudos on the M3 Honey and Indian troops :salute:: Good detail on the model and a nice and historically accurate colour scheme.

And the French Hotchkiss and crew look good too. Good detail on the gun.

The Honey, a few of the Indian troops and the Hotchkiss set are definite buys for me.

A very broad batch of new releases this month. The highlights for me this month are: the Hussar horse & trumpeter, Sikh mortar team, and the new Battle of France Poilus.
Cheers,
Brendan

Ever since I read 'Brazen Chariots' when I was a kid, I have wanted a Honey. Now KC has supplied one that is extremely nice and I will somehow find a way to get it, even though I don't collect Western Desert. I want that Honey and I shall have it!^&grin -- Al

"Honey" tank looks great. Like the French Panhard as well.

The Honey looks great and so do the French 1940 armoured car and figures. Robin Hood & co looks very good - reminds me of the old "Herald" plastic set ! Hopefully it won't be too long before Maid Marian joins the lads in Sherwood Forest!

Great releases this month, all brilliant :salute:: but as I don't collect any of them it will also be great on my budget.....:wink2:
Wayne.

Robin, so very tempting, even if they did not have cannon!!!! My mind is now racing, need trees..... lots of high quality trees........not trees, we need a forest.......

Andy...

not sure if you are finished yet...

but if you guys need a hand...

let me know...

I probably live 5 minutes from the museum...

what is the exact address...is it open now....and will you be posting pics of it?

I'm always impressed by the diversity of subjects that KC produces. You can't fully appreciate it unless you have an opportunity to see it all in person. Fortunately, we have a couple of toy soldier shops in Gettysburg where that is possible. Very impressive.

I tend to have no interest in Nazi leadership figures, but I must say the Speer with Berlin model is extremely interesting, and one I will certainly consider. Nice work, Andy! Maybe I could display beside my Battle of Berlin sets. I think I might call it "What matters is not the size of your dreams, but what they are about."

I forgot to mention about the LAH set. Although I don't collect LAH, it's a very interesting idea, something completely different.

I don't recall anyone asking this and maybe it was discussed at some of Andy's talks but why the shift to making the K&C Xclusive figures? My understanding is that you don't have to be a K&C club member to order them, you just have to order them directly from K&C in Hong Kong. I haven't purchased directly from Hong Kong in the past but I'm sure shipping isn't going to be cheap. Dealers must feel a little left out to say the least as both releases of these Xclusive figures look really great and would/should sell well in their hands. Is this the only range we will see this in or is this a test for future K&C Xclusive figures in other ranges?
Just curious.......
Can't argue with the releases this month. They are pretty darn good! When I see the MG canister I picture the poor bloke carrying it on his back, getting shot and the red berets spilling out....classic!

The theme music from the Adventures of Robin Hood has been playing non-stop in my mind for over two hours now. I guess it could be worse and be the theme from the Battle of the Bulge.

Good "Robin Hood" sets, the killed general set; ok, the Hitler set. Bad: the horse eating salad in a plate and the.....Mexican flag.

I don't remember reading anywhere that the wind was so strong on that fateful day in 1836 that it made flags stand erect or maybe Santa Anna requested a little extra starch .

I realise they are the tourist pieces so it is a cost cutting measure . Just another reason i guess why i won't be adding these to the rest .

The MG releases are simply all great, the para with the basket and the containers a very welcome surprise! I will be picking all those releases, ambush car included... my wallet is already trying to make an escape from my pocket {sm4}{sm4}{sm4} The M-3 Honey will also be in. I didn't have the previously released Indian dessert troops, and these sure look tempting.
The Hitler and Speer Germania set (as well as the ambushed car previewed last month) are true examples of Andy''s bold, innovative and irresistible creative ideas^&cool. Keep them comming! :wink2:

The 1940 French look great, I really hope there are more to come in the near future

I got the xclusive MG figure last month and shipping was very reasonable to Canada. Now saying that... I am curious if we should expect this to be a recurring offering each month for an xclusive. I also like Hitler with his architect...

PS I think Battle of San Jacinto was 1836.

Not sure who you aimed the San Jacinto quote at but I don' need a history lesson .
