KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- September 2015 (1 Viewer)

I was wondering when someone would get around to the bear.... a great story and something a little different. Kudos to K&C and Sierra for doing it.... count me in for a set.

Nice to see the BEF back - with armoured support. This must be an almost unique month - no German releases (not counting Gen Kussin as he is scheduled for next month)! Must try and get Vojtek the bear. There is statue of him at the Sikorski Institute in Central London. More Poles please!

Nice to see the Red Army soldiers again. All four sets look good. The RA074 Female Fighter is the best release this month, IMO.

Love this set, Straight out of the WWII Arnhem History Books !

well..

not much for me...

I do like FOB101 “One Old Man & His Dog”...I think I can use him...

I was really hoping for some Hoplites/Persians...which we have not seen in a while...

or some Ancient Egypt...Life of Jesus...and of course Crusaders/Saracens...

but that's okay...

last week I ordered 3 buildings SP064 and SP065...plus another SP032...

so I have a box on the way...

*ARNHEM AMBUSH PREVIEW
Although not available until October here is a “Sneak Peak” at “General Kussin’s Ambushed Citroen”

WH044 The set includes the bullet riddled Citroen Staff Car with the dead body of the German General lying half-in...half-out of the vehicle. Sitting slumped in the driver’s seat is his unfortunate driver.

WH045 “Dead German General’s ADC”
To accompany the above set is a separate dead German Staff Officer who managed to escape from the ambushed vehicle...but did not get very far before being cut down.

AVAILABLE: October

I'll be sure to get this and the old man and his dog..some of the others are alittle to pricie for me. Ron

NA306 “Rest & Recuperation”
As one 7th Hussar relates how he was wounded his fellow Hussar quietly enjoys his pipe.

NA313 “Rest & Refreshment”
Seated at a table with a plate of cheese before them this pair of 7th Hussars slake their thirst with some local wine.

NA348 “The Maid”
This comely ***** is checking to see whether the two gentlemen from NA315 need their wine “topped-up”.

These sets above making it to my "wanted" list this month.
This "off duty" group of Hussars, including previous releases, comes out nicely.

Really like them :smile2:

Well done K&C! This quite a diverse group of releases. I think that I'll probably be picking up the 1940 Brits to add to my small "Fields of Battle" collection. I'm really hoping that the Napoleonic fighting hussars and artillery will be released soon.
Cheers,
Brendan

An incredible number of superb items in this release .... how does K&C do this each month? ^&confuse

I was hoping for additional Japanese planes and carrier deck crew but alas .... maybe a preview of some new JN series in Chicago?

Don't want to start a WAR just asking if D-Day paint scheme was around in 1940 ^&confuse^&confuse

Correct me if I'm wrong (Which is often ^&grin^&grin)

FOB118 “Morris CS9 Armoured Car”
A “classic” early war British armoured car utilizing the chassis of the Morris Commercial C9 truck. On this chassis was mounted a riveted hull and an open-topped turret. Armament consisted on a “Boys” anti-tank rifle and a Bren Gun.
Our model is in the markings of the 12th Royal Lancers during the Battle of France in 1940 and comes with a vehicle commander figure.

**** my old boots where to start!! A festival of Brits .What a tremendous edition of Dispatches, so much I want. The Arnhem releases are just excellent, especially the Ambush car and figure^&cool The Arnhem personality figs are also must haves and all these sets will fit very nicely in my collection. Also digging all the Battle Of Britain releases in this 75th anniversary year. Loving the blue sports car and good to see Keith Parks represented here. Also for me another highlight are the Dunkirk figures. Andy has mentioned before that 'Dunkirk ' is one of his fave war films (gotta agree it's a classic) and these sets are straight out of the movie. I'll want the figs to go with my originals from some years back.

Fabulous set of releases, right up my street on all fronts, cheers Andy:salute::

Another big month for K&C, got to say the Dickens sets would be fun to collect, the Nap sets/WWII Brits look really good, not a fan of the Russian sets but I do like the one holding the Hitler head statue!!...Sammy
