KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- September 2016 (1 Viewer)

Yes, and WW2 CIVILIANS, more interesting and new poses, ww2 german police and firemen,more axes allies...

At least you get some things to buy .... been over 2 1/2 years since new releases worth having in the range i collect . Andy said good things come to those who wait ....... well any longer and i will be past caring

One last catch on the film strip nice to mention.....the officer has a destinction badge of the anti aircraft artillery and here he is acting as an artillery officer for a divisional field artillery.....{sm0}{sm4}

Answering the question...
The officer´s yes..he has the Artillery red pipping to the epaulettes and collar boards, the gun garrisons no...they are using the infantry white pipping.....:salute::{sm4}^&grin
Cheers

Well spotted Terry.....
I was working on my data files to get proof that the rammer looks more like a ram for a Napoleonic gun....( hint may be someone at the K&C logistics team figured out some SKU savings in lieu of accuracy{sm4}{sm4}{sm4}{sm4})....but you got it hammered at the nail head.....As it comes, the ram used in these WW2 Guns are - as one can see on the great film that you have loaded, used to ram the projectile into the tube so that then the charge can be ram....- the ram that K&C has added to the set is a Pre WW1 type that carries a sponge type material on the head so as to clean the cannon tube from any remaing burning cloth/material on fire so as to avoid igniting the bagged black powder that would be loaded on the follow up shot.......
So paraphasing Andy.....this is not the one mistake but the second mistake on the same kit.....but as he says...he is a rifleman and not a member of the elite artillery corps.....{sm3}{sm3}{sm3}.....so would not spot the error as fast as we expect.....
Cheers
Artillery Crazy

The rammer mistake possibly came from a Dragon 1/35 kit which likely came from an even earlier plastic kit. The old kits contain a lot of errors and are not up to todays standards of accuracy

Thanks for the re-enactment video Terry, I reckon the Jerries during the war would have liked that reward as well!!! {sm3}

Great dispatches really like the gun my only gripe would be the track detail on WH061 for 2016/17 I think it isn't good enough for the price asked.

But I have 2 of the AK versions and guns and with a bit of work they look OK and it does look good with the gun attached,just a small whinge.

Tracks not withstanding, really like this towing vehicle....on my hit list. Robin.

I am also pretty sure they are using "after market" wheels on those 10,5 leFH 18Ms.

I love the video and their "reward!"

Just of interest to note, that is the 10,5 leFM 18/40, which puts the weapon on the same chassis as the 7,5 cm PaK 40. This significantly reduce weight so that it was much easier to maneuver with just manpower.

I did not know this until looking up info on K&Cs piece, but the heavy chassis meant that in the winter of 1941/42, Germany lost the majority of these pieces on the Eastern Front. This was due to them getting so stuck in the mud during the thaw that they had to abandon them. Putting them on the PaK 40 frame followed this experience.

Love learning this stuff.

It does look really good with the gun attached.

I agree with the track whine.

This to me looks like a re release of the AK26 halftrack, right down to the oil drum in the back and the storage on the back, AK26 was released March 2006 for $79.

Because of Colin Kaepernick I am pre-ordering this figure:

WH059 “German Military Policeman”
A single standing “Chained-Dog” on traffic control duty
