King & country fw 190 Dora repaint (1 Viewer)

I personally think that paint scheme would look awesome on the Dora.

Yes that would work very nicely Neil. Quite unusual that Redish brown colour^&cool

Rob

Cheer for the feedback . I would recommend getting the Dora it stunning plane

Funny, but a few weeks ago I was thinking that scheme would be a good one myself. I am not an aviation person but have always found that version interesting after seeing it in a print.

Cheers Mate,

What about this one? I have seen it personally including a taxi run-up. Lots of pictures for your project to boot. This is from Paul Allen's of Microsoft collection. This kite used to be here in my backyard at Falcon Field (Thunderbird II Field) which was a WW II training base for Commonwealth pilots. Allen purchased the collection and moved it up to Washington state although a lot of restoration work is still completed here in Arizona, USA. Enjoy!

Hi Marc problem with "yellow ten is it has a different exhaust to other Dora's but it one good looking plane

To me this one is a strait simple answer: FW-190 D (13) of JV-44!!! IMHO thats how K&C should have done it, matching its 262... Please show us when the repaint is finished, Im sure it will look great!

Will do :smile2:

I can see why K&C did not choose the JG44 circus aircraft. There are so many interpretations of what they looked like and what colour way was used by this small group of aircraft. There are very few actual pictures of the aircraft and, we would have been discussing the exactness until the proverbial cows came home!!

The unique undercarriage paint work also would I am sure have increased the price a fair bit

I'm using Focke -wulf fw 190D camouflage & markings 1 & 2 for reference Mitch and know you have the two eagles on the subject as well
