King & Country in Singapore – Toy Soldier Collectors Event

We are very pleased to announce K&C is hosting our first ever “Special Collector Event” in Singapore. Andy C. Neilson, K&C Co-founder and Creative Director, and a team from the Hong Kong Headquarters will be in Singapore to meet collectors in person.

Date: 31st October 2015, Saturday
Time: 12 noon – 3 pm
Venue: Singapore Cricket Club
Ticket Price: US$59 per person

Since Singapore’s only K&C dealer decided to close his shop several months ago we have no official dealer in the Lion City. If you want to find out more about this great King & Country Singapore event contact us directly at event@kingandcountry.com.

Looks good Andy, I might see if I can make it.

Pity is wasn't this weekend go to the cricket club a few scoobs then off to the F1 ^&grin

Great to se a K&C Dinner that's closer that going across the country in Brisbane!!

A 5 hour flight due north AND Duty Free is better that in interstate flight heading east :)

Pity about Mike's shop closing, but I suppose that if the walk in business isn't there, you can't afford the rent, like many 'bricks and mortar' shops worldwide!!

Nice venue, sounds good, but don't think I will be allowed to come to another K&C Dinner this year :(

John

Check out Jetstar John, might be cheap as chips airfares from Perth around that time. You can also stay in the "Geylang" district in Singapore for a cheap place to crash... ^&grin

Not good to put cheap airfares and a place to crash in the same breathe Tom^&grin. Love Singapore and discussed this with my wife, but for a change, I have the time, but not the money, usually around the other way. I blame the tax dept., Robin.

Yeah, im in the same boat Robin, bit tight with the money but plenty of time on my hands. The airfares are cheap from Darwin though with some fares being as low as $98 Aussie return on certain days!

Dear Andy,

Welcome to Singapore again! Delighted that you are coming over to take care of the collectors here. And I recall my discussion with Eva about shipping charges and the impact to collectors here, considering the lack of a dealer, and K&C promptly addressed that with the free shipping scheme.

This has been an eventful year for Singapore. We just had our country's 50th birthday in August and the election polls just took place last week. And right now, the country's air is filled with haze that blew over from our neighbour's forest fires. We hope this will clear when the F1 begins. But, definitely, it should clear by end of Oct when you folks arrive. And of course, China's economic doldrum does make everyone feeling glum.

I have not confirmed my attendance yet with Eva as I will still be in Shenzhen for the most of October. But, I do have a flight booking for return to Singapore on the 30th. If there are no pressing biz matters, I look forward and hope to catch up with you again. Thanks once again!

Best Rgds,Chris

In early August, I was very happy to receive news of the King & Country toy soldier collectors event to be held in Singapore on 31st October 2015. I have confirmed my attendance at the event with payment.

I hope other collectors, both in Singapore and the region will sign up and help make the event a great success. Please note the the booking deadline is the 9th October 2015.

My thanks to Andy and the staff at King & Country Hong Kong for organizing this event for Singapore and South East Asian collectors. I am certainly looking forward to this occasion.

See you soon, Raymond.

Eva should be corrected to Elsa. Oh mine, I am getting old....

I just signed up for this event and looking forward to it !

Although I spend most my time shuttling between Manila and HK, I thought I had better head west
and fix up a few biz meetings in Singapore on the day before to justify my trip. There aren't that many treefroggers in SEA........ so time to make the most of it.........

Besides , my K&C FOB Singapore surrender pieces need that extra Japanese infantryman....... they have been sending me dispatches at HQ complaining that I focus collecting too much on the European theatre.........
