King & country uk auction of stock (1 Viewer)

Is there a catalog or anything? I am looking and the lots say 71 pieces and the picture doesn't show a fraction of that - how do we know what's in each lot?

Go to:
http://www.vectis.co.uk/Page/ViewAuction.aspx?AuctionId=583&DayNo=1

If you are looking for a particular item enter the model number in the Search block.

Then under Description you'll see the categories, which are clickable links. If I click on Current Stock -Ancients I get
this :
http://www.vectis.co.uk/Page/ViewAuctionLots.aspx?AuctionId=583&DayNo=1&Section=9109&Sub=1
Each Lot has a small picture and description what's in it.

If you click on the Lot Header with the blue backing you get an enlargement.

I avoid the Live Auction. Better things to do than sit there all day bidding. Besides I bid high enough that I jut send
my Bid via e-mail to Vectis well before hand. If you have to nickel and dime your bids do the Live Auction and pay
an addition 5% for using their service. It's really quite easy. And fun when you get those email saying you won
and PAY UP. Now, don't tell anyone I'm trying to discourage Bidders with minor useless advice. ROTFLMAO

I'm going to be bidding on many, many of the lots, so to discourage the completion
I'd like to remind those too stupid to read the fine print of the following:
Very high Buyer's Premium added.
Very high shipping and Handling.
Risk of damage in shipping.
Many items may be chipped considering the way they are grouped.
Exchange rate fluctuates and includes sellers fee.
eBay isn't what it used to be.

If I pick up the pieces that I want for a reasonable price. Then the excess I'll offload for whatever it fetches.

24% and 27% fees.
be careful here folks!

I buy at OTSN and the fees and exchange rate (I am in Canuckia) are really deflating the buzz!
so with Vectis thats 24-27% on the pound!

But if you're buying a lot then it is working out as like £30 a figure, considering how the newer single figures are like £50 you are saving £20 a figure and that's more than making up for postage/auction rates!

Scott does that not depend on the final auction sell price of the item ?

These auctions tend to attract ridiculously high bids, prices that you wouldn't pay on eBay or otherwise.

The best way to bid in a auction like this is as a team - split lots among a few people. With the premium and shipping from UK, I'll be sitting this one out.

Obviously but for the amount of figures you are getting it is worth it as if you sold them on you would no doubt make a profit!

All depends on what the final price is to be fair as toy soldiers in general don't sell well on eBay these days

Re-selling K & C soldiers on eBay ain't what it used to be. I have seen a lot of sets that would have sold in the past at high prices go either unsold or sold at a fraction of what they use to sell for.

Produced in numbers that there isn't the demand for any longer. Liquidating collections isn't easy.

In this case a lot of it is newer stock. To flip it at a profit will require a very low sale price on Vectis.
