King Tiger 3./s.SS-Pz Abt.501 ,Belgium,December 1944
This Tiger II is finished with a foctory applied camoflage scheme of green and dark yellow over the red primer base. Small spots of other two colors have been added over each of the base colors to complete the 'ambush'pattern. The tactical number for 3.Kompanie vehicles was painted in light blue with a yellow outline and they did not carry the Balkenkreuz ╬

I really like this dio. The photos are evocative of the Bulge. Great shots. -- Al

My favourite KT. It was part of Kampfegruppe Peiper at the Bulge and I think commanded by SS-Hauptscharführer Peter Kisters. What happened to many of the KT's in the unit has been researched and documented, but I have not seen any info on 313.

Very well composed, excellent photos with good control on depth of field. Keep up the good work!

That K&C KT is my favourite version to date, really like the paint colour and ambush pattern. I waited a long time to get it because of the steep price but I'm glad I picked one up, its huge and a really nice piece. ^&cool
That new K&C Panther hasn't got much forum chat, its flying under the radar however I must say from your pics on this thread it looks really really good. May have to move that one up on my purchase list.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much both of you for the comment!

Hello fellow collectors... not wishing to start a 4th front but I was just having a poke around http://www.panzerace.net/english/pz_oob.asp?page=5 and see the commander of tank 313 is listed as SS-Unterscharführer Schöpper not SS-Oberscharführer Peter Kisters as previously mentioned... thus the question arises... which website is correct...?

cheers

Both are correct. The Panzerace list is for June 1944 when the unit was equipped with late production Tiger I. Kisters was in 312. The K&C model is from December 1944 when the unit was equipped with King Tigers and Kisters was in 313.
