Pretty cool they are getting Kennedy Center honors, they truly are American Icons and while they are healthy, nice to see them recognized. They changed the production of rock concerts for sure, introduced theater and larger than life concepts to a show. They may have never or will ever be the most creative musicians, but they had their formula down to a science and a testament to them is the fact that they literally sold out every show they did for 50 years. Not many bands can say that.

I always associate KISS with the 70s and 80s. Good times. Some great tunes and they always put on a show. I saw them a couple of times and my ears are still ringing.

Tom:

Great post, great band.

KISS changed marketing for musicians, songwriters and performers.

They were the first band to expand beyond concert t-shirts. They slapped their name on everything, lunchboxes, pinball machines and everything in between.
