Here's a quick scene I set up today displaying my recently acquired CS Sherman "In the Mood" M4A1 and the Normandy Panzer IV. Also here is one of the new CS US figures of the guy on the ground with Tommy gun. I do have two K&C figures added to the scene, the one in the Sherman leaning out and the casulaty figure in the background on the ground by the house. The Sherman and Panzer IV are great models. All I've done to the Sherman here is I added a larger star decals on the turret and added some BAR stowage on the back. The blown track and CS casulaty figure of the Panzer IV are terrific. The knocked out tank option is like having two kits in one. Great idea from CS. I'm a somewhat new collector of CS armor and I'll have to say that I am very pleased with my small collection so far. Finally I have a Sherman that looks right with my all my 1/30 figures. I know the scale issue has been beat to death on the forum here, but whatever the scale, the current CS armor fits perfectly with their figures and other manufacturers figures like K&C and Figarti. Like I said, the tanks finally look proportioned to the crew like they would in a real tank. Thanks Brian for making the armor large enough to accomplish this. I have lots of ideas for dios in my head and most of them include CS armor now that I've seen a couple. I'm very excited about the possibilities. Collectors Showcase is doing a great job with their armor pieces and the customer service of CS/Brian is outstanding.

Very good setup. I like they way the Y junction and building set the scene. No description is needed.

Very well done. I also appreciate that CS armor is correct sized to the figures. -- Al

The damaged versions is one of the best features about the range, it allows for some dramatic scenes. Short of dropping a vehicle from a great height, this is the only way to get a really battle damaged one. Thanks for putting this scene together and showcasing (sorry about the pun) Brian's brilliant work, cheers, Robin.

I'll add to the chorus, nice one Duke and who makes that house that's in the background?

Tom

Thanks guys. Tom, the house is by Figarti from a few years back.

Another thing to mention about CS tanks is that you have many hatches you can display open or closed. This really helps when creating a scene because lets say you wanted to do an action scene where a tank was heading straight into enemy fire, you would want all the hatches closed or "buttoned up" to be realistic. It just enhances the possibilities for more scenes.

I love it, but I do have a question. How did you get the driver's hatch on the Sherman to stay open?

Thanks. The tank comes with 2 hatch options for the drivers hatch. One closed and the one I have shown open. The open hatch has two "pegs" that fit down into holes in the tank displaying it open.

Hi Duke,

I do like your terrain board - most impressive! :smile2:

This is the only reason I passed on the excellent TG Hetzer and Puma.

Thanks again everyone.

Jeff, the terrain is actually two Build a Rama mats put together. One a 12"x24" and the other a 24"x30" making a 24"x42" display.
