Sandor, also--are you logged into a network, like the VFMA's network, for example, and accessing the Internet from there? There could be issues with the way a network is configured that could impact your access, including linked content from one Webpage to another.

I've upgraded in the meantime to IE9, still running on Win7 Professional, and I can see all images, too.

Prost!

Brad, I bow to your expertise ^&grin

Thanks, Padre, I'm flattered! It's just a hunch, based on issues some of our customers have. Our software uses a lot of redirects, and we've seen isses with how networks are configured, proxy server settings, firewalls, etc. Sandor, I hope that solved the problem for you!

Prost!

Couple of things first can't upload photos from my phone even after resizing them and getting pm with a blank message ?

Two quick issues: (1) A couple of times I have tried to post a long message only to be told that I am not logged in when I submitted it. Since I was logged in originally, I must have timed out. However, when I immediately log in again, my message is gone. Is there a way to save your messages, besides the auto-save feature which doesn't save them in the situation I am describing? (2) When I log in and check the box "remember me," it doesn't. What is that box suppose to do? I have Windows 7, if that makes any difference.

What browser and browser version are you using, Mike? That can help the admins diagnose the issue.

Prost!

Hi Brad,

My ISP is Time-Warner Cable's Roadrunner internet service which I assume is the browser. I really have no idea what browser version I am using.

What I'm looking for is whether you use Internet Explorer...Firefox...or Chrome. That is the internet browser you're using.

Oh, sorry. It is Internet Explorer. You have to remember that you are talking to someone who grew up in an age where we had to speak to the operator to place a phone call and our phone numbers were just four numbers long with no prefix. We got dial phones when I was in high school.

Hi Pete,

I have received a friend request and can neither approve or deny the request. I is still showing in my notifications as a new request. (I am using Chrome)

Gents...I'm tied up with church stuff for the next couple days, but will look into these issues early next week. Sorry for the delay!

I think we have a couple issues going on here.

First off, when you click the 'Remember Me' button it places a 'cookie' on your computer which lets the computer know that you are logged in. When this is activated you can be on-line for nearly forever without getting logged out. Some people (for the sake of security) do not allow their computers to use cookies. If that is the case, the 'remember me' button will be rendered useless.

For those who are not using the 'remember me' button, the forum allowed them to be logged in for 30 minutes before logging them off. As we know, sometimes that happened in the middle of a long post! I have changed the setting so it allows people to automatically be logged in for 90 minutes. That should help!

Do you have a way of seeing if your computer is accepting cookies (and no, I'm not talking chocolate chip here :))?

I looked but couldn't locate any place that indicated anything about cookies, chocolate chip, or otherwise. I did find that my browser is Internet Explorer version 9. I'll try the "remember me" button and also attempt to be a little less long-winded and keep my posts to under 90 minutes. Thanks.

Mike, this might help:

"To block or allow all cookies

1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

2. Click the Tools button , and then click Internet options.

3. Click the Privacy tab, and then, under Settings, move the slider to the top to block all cookies or to the bottom to allow all cookies, and then click OK.

Blocking cookies might prevent some webpages from displaying correctly."

I pulled that off Microsoft's site, after I went looking for it myself under Tools>Internet Options. I was looking on the Advanced tab, though, not Privacy. They keep moving things around from one release to the next.

Hope that helps, prost!
Brad
