Found this BR 52 Kriegslokomotive and set up a diorama with some King & Country and Del Prado figures , think the train diorama's have great potential and would love to see King and Country get in on the act:)

redhugh,

Gees, I wish I found one. LOL, awesome way you put the whle dio together. Great job and you should have it posted in the Treefrog website Gallery.

Carlos

RH, that's a terrific setup you have made there and the 1/35 train blends in well with the K & C, they must have been big locos in real life

Btw, the uniform on that U-Boat Commander looks like WWI rather than WWII. If you blow up the image you can easily (nit)pick this from the detail on his buttons ;)

Completely 100% agree with you Carlos.
RH has put together a quite stunning diorama here. Thanks for posting RH.

That is a work of art - outstanding job on that diorama. WOW !

How did you make the buildings in this display ?

Really - once again - wonderful diorama.

Holy cr@p that's cool! Really spectacular!! Who produced the Kriegs Locamotive?

Now that's is jsut BRILLIANT!!!!

Excellent job.......and yes where did you find that locomotive

Fantastic, I Know A Couple Of Years Back At The Chicago Show Andy Told Me He Was Toying With The Idea Of An Armored Train And I Hope This Nudge S Him Towards A Train. Where Did You Get And Who Makes The Train? Great Buildings By The Way.

It was a lucky find on ebay, a modeler had built it but there were no further details. I searched around on the web and figure it was built from a CMK kit, he made a fantastic job on the painting and weathering of it. The flatcar is Ironside
The tower and platform are HANSA, The other building is CUSTOM DIORAMICS. The checkpoint and the rest of the stuff is my wife , Suzanne, who liked the train so much, decided to make the additional pieces after a visit to the local hobby store for supplies and she really filled the diorama out.:cool:
Thanks for the compliments, really pleased with it and look forward to adding to it.:)

Which wagon did you use to add after the locomotive?

Thanks

JP

I just checked on ebay and there are some 1/35 scale Trumpeter kits available, they look great too!

Hi warbuff
it was up on ebay for a week and it was a long long week, I thought a load of bidders were going to jump in in the last 30 seconds but i ended up being the only one, thankfully. The seller made a great job of packaging it and I was relieved when it arrived intact.

The wagon behind the train is a coal car that went with the train. The flat car is an IRONSIDE model that was again painted and weathered with obvious care by the modeller who put it together.

What I hope to do is get some more wagons and possibly recreate a railyard scene like the train arriving into stalingrad (from the film ), and possibly do a winter snow scene as well,
As regards visuals the film Stalingrad is one of my favourites, has some stunning set-ups

I radio transmitted to resistence headquaters via hong kong and the contact Fanny Luk is dispatching 2 french resistence demolition experts who will parachute in to blow up the tracks and train... (not literally:eek:)...viva la france:D

It's an outstanding diorama to say the least. Do you have photos of other dios you've done.

nothing like that one Jazz:D Suzie is casting her eye over my other collections and is doing some web research , no stopping her now:D I would love to do a fall of berlin one and she's busy looking up post boxes and the like:cool:
K&C figures really standout and shine in Diorama's, and they really should do more pieces, what got me into this was seeing the fall of berlin K&C figures set up with the berlin tenement building in the HK shop.
