My son was playing in a baseball tournament this past week out in Washington Pa. I saw a billboard for this place and we went and checked it out before one of the games. It was a lot of fun!!! I highly recommend going there. Tremendous collection of old Marx figures and Britains. A lot of hands on interactive playsets (included a huge electric race car set that I raced against the wife and boy and got crushed lol).

Tons of plastic toy soldiers, trains, beautiful die cast car collection, dozens of metal toy playsets from the 60's. Just a great time. A $15 admission fee. No rush to get people in and out. A huge Lego train display as you enter the museum. I recommend this place if you have some time to kill. A huge doll wing for the wife and daughters to enjoy.

Hey Chris, sounds like a fun time had by all. I caught up with both sons in Brisbane over the weekend when I attended the King and Country events. They agreed they were pretty spoiled with all the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars toys they got as a kid, partly due to their Father being a fan of both franchises ^&grin There was some regret they never got a slot car or train set like some of their friends. I didn't have those as a kid either, maybe for the same reason my Father didn't like them, too concerned they'd never get used much and take up too much space on the floor :salute::

Ha ha- yeah I always had slot cars and my dad has a pretty impressive collection of trains. They are all cool. Me and my buddies (now me and my kids) generally "gunned" slot cars as fast as we could to generate the most impressive wrecks possible. The height of my interest in Tyco racing was probably 1987. Has a huge sheet of plywood me and my buddies would lay down and then build our tracks on it so we didnt get the cars and tracks caught in the carpet.

Sounds like you guys had lots of fun with slots and trains. Have to say I had a lot of fun with my sons when we got our first console type game, which was a Nintendo 64, had lots of fun playing Starwars and 007 Golden Eye etc. Then we got into Xbox, and had even more fun with the 'Halo' games fighting the Covenant etc. We had Three TVs and I bought some additional 2nd hand TVs so all their nerdy friends could have sleepovers playing linked Halo games, good memories.
