Jeez, sound like a dealer.

Anyhow, the gentleman who asked me to sell his Boxer Rebellion (more of those coming to ebay on Sunday) has also asked me to sell his entire La Haye Saint diorama.

He bought it new from Trophy of Texas, he has the Big Box set (including the original Brown outer box with labels, paperwork,e tc.

There are I believe most or all of the add on sets

Finally, he also has 2 exclusive Trophy of Texas add ons to the diorama only supposedly made for T of T.

I am going to photograph it this weekend, original retail for the whole 9 yards was $1875. It will go on ebay in sets accordingly at retail. He has mandated the sale go through ebay.

I am only posting here as I know some of you collect this line and thought it may be of interest.

Now, for the skeptics that read, I am not truly profiting montetarily on these sales, I did this for fun and as a favor, it garnered me a favorable trade for some of other items.

Did he have any other areas of Trophy interest or was this all you received?

Not that I know of! The only Zulu 55 set I have ever seen is in my basement of Crealock. Which one is the ZS55 again?

Tom

This is the one Tom, as you say Crealock is ZM55

I am truly amazed, the seller, asked me to price them at retail plus shipping, so his all in price. Took all of about 3 hrs to get a bid on the diorama.

I also must admit, I had a lot of fun setting this one up!!!!!!! Not as easy as I thought, I used the detailed instructions to pack and unpack it. If I collected this, it would have never made ebay!! It is really a neat diorama.

Tom

That is the problem with agreeing to sell something for somebody, you want to keep it all.

Not sure if y'all saw the finish on this one, but the entire kaboodle went for $4630 including the add ons. Trophy continues to amaze me.

Ya know, I really did this more as a favor to a fellow collector and a favorable trade. I can honestly say, I had fun doing it. There are still a bit of Boxers to go.

Selling these is really like another dimension to the hobby. I enjoy doing it, maybe I should be a "consigner"!!! The problem is, I could see myself never wanting to sell everything and that is not a good recipe for success in business!

I have a rather decent stamp collection and when I was a kid, my dealer used to be a collector. I would always ask how he could stomach selling the rarities. His answer was very simple. It took him a few years to decide that his collection could live through his customers and he could have a good life doing something he loved to do and make money at it. I am sure that most of our toy soldier dealers feel the same way. Myself, I will stick to my day job for now.......

I don't envy you packing that farm. I'd be sweating bullets until it got there.

Just patience! Believe it or not, with having all the original packaging, that helps, but of course you are always at the mercy of UPS/USPS. UPS is getting this job!
