Wonderful pic of a great model by K&C. Without divulging any secrets, how do you and Moe get those super incredible shots of the plane in the air on a nice and (appropriate) background photo?

I am assuming some sort of photo editor ...^&confuse.

I have that model and one of my favorites.
Thanks Chris, it is a nice one.

Thanks Robin; you know it!

Hi Larry, thanks.
Yes on the photo editing, but no real secrets. I use Adobe Photoshop first taking a picture of my actual piece (in this case; most of my shots have an actual backdrop.) Using layering in Photoshop, I try a few different backgrounds to see what looks good. The more difficult task was the blurring of the propeller and placing an actual image of one of K&C's Japanese pilot figures in the empty cockpit (through photo-editing). I was pleased that his face came out visible. Took a little work though. I have the shot in color but sepia with a light texturing seemed to compliment what I was looking for in terms of an old photograph. Appreciate the question and feedback.

Good job on the photo Rob.
Thanks Steve. I'm enjoying your 'Nam shots as well.

Rob, very nicely done! ^&cool

I also like the watermark on your photos.

Rob,
The Sepia shot is nice, but I (mostly) prefer the color shots.
Same holds true for this case, the color adds some dimension and detail that seems missing in B/W or Sepia photos.
(or maybe its my older eyes!)

Thanks for the info in the Photoshop.
Do I need just the basic software package or all the add-on's to achieve your superior results?

Hi Larry, thanks again. Thought you might like that color shot.
I have a less expensive version of Photoshop called Elements, although I must admit I have an older computer. Not sure what Adobe offers these days. I recall the full suite pretty expensive and Elements was around $100 back in the day. I've learned many tricks over the years but there are so many tools and users out there that I'm sure make me look like an amateur.

Rob, very nicely done. I also like the watermark on your photos.
Thanks Brad. Do you mean my name/initials or the texturing on the sepia image?

Looks great to me mate and I'm with Larry I like the colour pic, very clever.

Great color photo. Perfect background and I see it's a signed edition. :salute:: Chris
