I never thought that I was ever going to arrive at this moment, but here is the first batch of my King and Country - American Revolution soldiers photos. There are many, many more to come.{sm3}
As I mentioned in the previous thread, I have decided to photograph and display the sets, based first on the Regiment and then on the figures of the same type in that Regiment. For example I will start with the French Regiment (AR11 & AR14-AR19 & AR30-AR32). As I have multiples of each, I will photograph and display (for example) all the Marching figures, then all the kneeling ready figures and then all the Flag Bearers and so forth and so on.
I have three goals.
FIRST to show all the other AWI collectors (and actually any TS collector interested) the sets in detail, especially the older AR and BR releases that many collectors have never seen in a diorama setting. Hopefully you guys will enjoy seeing them as well as the current releases.
SECOND, I want to try my hand at developing dioramas and scene construction. I have a long way to go to equal the superb work display by Cornwallis, REVWARBUFF (Mark), OD, RISORGIMENTO (Carlo), DesertKiwi (Toddy), Big Denny (Mike), pworbagiper (Brendon) and other collectors
LASTLY, I want to learn how to photograph the scenes to best display them on the Forum for all to enjoy and talk about.
With that in mind, please feel free to let me know what I can do to improve the dioramas and photos.
Although the thread is titles “Larry’s K&C AWI collection”, if you have any K&C AWI sets, ADD them in for all to enjoy.
