I'm having trouble trying to believe that one person can have so many “Latest Additions” Martyn! Are you re-painting or swapping them out the back of the cupboard or what? :rolleyes2: ^&grin

Seriously, I think you must have a very understanding Postman (or two) with immense muscles and a love for all things Red (boxes that is). :wink2: ^&grin

Its great to see someone get so much pleasure out of their hobby and share it with the great unwashed, I for one have learnt so much more about Trophy Miniatures over the years just by following along with your and the other TM collectors threads on this forum.

Thanks for that. :smile2:

Hi Jeff ^&grin

Unfortunately the days of 20,30 or 40 sets coming my way are in the past, they have just dried up, but the excitement is just the same when I find 1 or 2 now. I think it has also helped concentrate on certain periods ie AZW - complete ^&cool, Indian Mutiny - near complete ^&cool, NWF - more than half way:wink2:, Boer War - near complete ^&cool, Crimean - near complete ^&cool, Egypt and the Sudan - touch and go:wink2:, ACW - more than half way- no big boats and no room for them either :wink2:^&grin

Cheers

Martyn: In addition to you excellent collection and terrific photos is your catalog collection and your willingness to share and help us with identification questions. As I have told you before, until I saw some of your collection, I had no idea that a lot of those sets were ever made by Len. Thank you. Tommy

Many thanks Tommy, that is a great compliment.

I love your collection of Trophy and the way you have it displayed, it is fantastic :salute:: :salute:::salute::

I would like to thank ALL of the guys who show us their Trophy collections on here - as many are getting rather difficult to find ( or afford) these days. I just love some of the imiginative - and always lovely finish that Len managed to get on these little Welsh masterpieces - which I, for one, try to emulate with my own modest painting efforts.

Lovely to see - and USE - as a source for painting - thanks again to you all for posting excellent pictures for us all to use and enjoy. :D Johnnybach

Welcome back to the Forum after your break jb {bravo}}

You could have bought back some of that dry weather I seem to remember we used to get.
I think half the UK now have webbed feet, and I ain't including the Ducks {eek3} :salute::

Hi M! - How odd! - I've just got back from Winter in NZ. Mostly dry and cool there this time - but beautiful clear blue skies for the most part. Some clear frosty mornings - but very pleasant afternoons to sit out in - and enjoy - or take the dog for a walk - sometimes in shirtsleeves or a light sweater.

As I told my daughter on leaving - "If this is your winter - please sign me up"!

Still collecting castings pieces in the UK for now - but will be back to painting around September. Not raining here for now - What's the problem:D See you later - jb

Hi jb, would that be UK or France. it's just stopped here (UK) after 140 days and nights ^&grin. Hopefully off to the War and Peace Show (Kent) at the end of the week, I've been getting reports from mates already there that some of the area resembles the Somme{eek3}

Cheers

I'm in the UK at the mo - M, (South West England). I can see from the lush verdant green vegetation that you've been having a drop or two of the damp stuff - but as I'm back now - I hope the weather will brighten up!:rolleyes2:

I'm in my summer "collecting phase" - of castings from various British castings suppliers now - which I will take back South with me for my Autumn/Winter painting-fest, next month.

Just watching La Tour on TV - good to see how the weather has warmed up back in South West France too, by the look of it. My other daughter is looking after the tomatoes for me there - and tells me that thefirst red ones have just started popping - so need the sun to start ripening the rest.

Just heard from Brian at Yeomanary Miniatures - that he will be casting my Household Cav maxim team next week - so can add them to my growing "stash". I'm also starting my quest for brushes and paints next week - don't want to run out again!

Aaah! Kippers again for breakfast for a bit - lovely....:cool:..............jb

Looks like you may have an influence on the Jet Steam after all, the weather should turn a bit drier next week and reach 20 or 22 degrees, at least South of the Thames ^&grin

Jeff,
There was a rumor that Martyn was able to obtain so many sets as he is related to Len Of Trophy and Mike of Little Legion {eek3} Must be true as I read it on the internet :tongue:^&grin
