Very nice! They look to be Seaforth Highlanders to me but I cant tell what color the kilts are. If the kilt is Dark Green with red and white hatching they would be Seaforths if the kilt is Dark Blue with red and yellow hatching they would be Cameron Highlanders. But I cant tell the color of the kilt because of the size of the photos even zooming in as close as I can. More details would be helpful

I'm sure Louis or Lawrence will know this instantly. Barring that, do you have set numbers. Also can you give us a picture of the second set outside the box.

This has to be Seaforth....

They have the McKenzie tartan, yellow/buff facings, red & white socks, but I can't see the sporran, but it should be White, with 2 black tails.

If you ever want a reference site, check out this one

http://www.angelfire.com/tx/ToySoldier/tartan.htm its a webpage that I have produced and show "How to paint tartans"

regards,

John

Mark is looking for the K & C set names, not the general descriptions.

Mark, go to Sager's site, the brochure section and look at pages 10A and 10B of the 1992 brochure and you may have your answer.

Brad,
The marching riflemen appear to be SRM1 on page 10B...also I will provide better photos and color descriptions later.

The sets look like K&C Seaforths. You have the Marching set and the Pipe and Drum Band SRPB. Congrats on finding them. Only issue I can see is you have a figure that may be missing the large Drum.

Lawrence,

Did this come in a presentation box (one of those large blue ones)?

Lawrence....I have the large drum too...and thank you for letting me know so I can label them properly...was SRM1 the correct item number on the other set?

Brad,

I have seen the band packaged in various boxes. I have them in one large rectangular blue box and in one large illustrated rectangular green box and I have seen them in the two boxes that Ed has. It is unlikely you would see the band by itself in the large presentation boxes as those boxes normally would hold about 36 figures. Having said that, I would not be surprised to see a presentation box with the band as well as several marching sets, colour party or some other combination to fill out the box. The Marching Set would come in the smaller rectangular boxes as shown in Mark's photo. Hope this helps.

My recollection is that SRM1 is the correct designation for the 6 figure set and SRPD is for the 12 figure band.

I've never seen a set like that. Are you sure it's K & C? Are the bases so marked.

I do believe this to be the brochure regarding the set. Commemorative set... "The Guidon Party" The seller is actually including the original receipt from K&C for the three pictured! It is also pictured in your latest pictures you posted regarding the collection "HK" from Louis...it is the set proceeding up the bridge. I included a picture from your thread
