Hi Guys,

In response to a few more posts…

1. Andy’s cartoon
It was a lot of fun to do it… in a previous incarnation I used to be a political cartoonist for the South China Morning Post here in Hong Kong back in the 1980’s.
It was a lot of fun… just not much money!
Anyway I still produce the occasional cartoon and caricature for friends, clients and the occasional publication.

2. The King & Country Book
Let me once more praise the amazing effort by both Kevin and Louis to produce this first volume.
These boys put in an incredible amount of time, effort (and their own money) to make this happen… and it did. To any serious K&C collector I cannot recommend it too highly… even if I don’t always agree on some of my friend Louis’s opinions.

3. Steven Chong’s Bismarck
Well Steve, I don’t know about the one in your basement but the Bismarck in mine is just a couple of inches over 40 feet!!!

4. North West Frontier
Guys, I never said we’d never do it… I just meant I (we) don’t have the time to do it now.

5. As for SEMINOLES???
NO… NAY… NEVER… now, what part don’t you understand?

Best wishes to one and all and, of course, happy collecting!
Andy C.

Thanks for the info:D

You've been spending quite a lot of time on the Forum lately Andy!:D:eek:
Could this be the run up to something big?:D

Yeah, a BIG hangover after we fill him full of Bundaberg Rum on his trip downunder - it tastes just like expensive Scotch Whisky Andy - honest ;)

It's a good thing you don't always agree with my opinions. As I recall, my opinion was that polystone vehicles wouldn't sell, and I wasn't too sure about toy soldier collectors buying matt products either:eek::eek::p:D

Whoa whoa whoa! Do you mean you weren't sure about "Matte" products or "Matt's" Products1?! ;-) (I'm just messing around, no need to respond!)

Andy, any chance of more FJ's this year?:)

Well, you were nearly right mate.
Apart from the Polystone not selling.
Oh, and the matt products not being popular. :D

Its a good thing that for me Toy Soldiers are a hobby, not a business, or I would never be able to afford any.:p:D

All kidding aside though, I don't know if I was alone on the polystone vehicles, but there were a lot of collectors who were very skeptical about the viability of matt toy soldiers, especially as virtually all toy soldier collections pre-September 17, 1995 [the original K&C Arnhem release date] were 100% glossy.

Actually, as I told our mutual friend George a few months ago, I was quite impressed with "Matt's Products" and was looking forward to seeing the upcoming WWII releases in person.;):D:)

Thank god for changing markets.....I would have never started this hobby if there were only glossy figures available. I am a fan of the "Historical Miniature" label....not Toy Soldiers.

I can't imagine AFVs in a glossy finish or ever collecting them

Andy - OK ! Now we start our planning of the range - we all know that NO means MAYBE in the Toy Soldier World - right ? ;)

Recognition of the thought is the first step towards production ! :D
