Hi

I recently acquired the late Pat Campbell’s Replica Models. Pat was a well know collector and maker of toy soldiers, who sadly passed away earlier this year. As a Life long collector myself I hope to be able to build upon the ranges Pat established and sharing the same pasison and enthusiasm for the hobby Pat had, be able to support fellow collector and keep traditional toy soldiers going well into the 21st century!

I am currently in the process of sorting Moulds and preparing my listing to re launch as Replica Metal Soldiers & Models.

Up until a few years ago Pat was a regular at UK shows with his extensive range of Indian Army figures and military bands. The ranges also include an extensive selection of Recasts (including many civilians and circus items). I will re launching the replica line up and also adding new figures in the Britains style, the first of which are Indian infantry in different drill positions, filling gaps Britains never filled. I’ll also be developing a spares range to help with repairs.

Figures will be available as castings and painted, and I hope to be able to provide a good product at an affordable price with castings for foot figures starting at £3 for a basic figure, £3.50 for a band figure.

Painted sets will be made to order with foot figures starting at £8 each.

If you would like more details of the range please drop me a line.

Andrew

Andrew,

I don't know anything of these figures, but please post images of them when you have set up the new company, and keep us informed, I'm sure a lot of the collectors will be most interested, especially in spares. :)

I know that Andrew is currently making up a catalogue - but in the meantime, maybe look at some of Pat Campbell's old line by checking out Google online - which will give you some idea of what might eventually be on offfer. Andrew told me he intends to offer The Indian Army figures initially, with several others from different Regiments too. These are most colourful figures - and would fit in very well with the old Hollowcast Britains range.

Here's a link John.

Thanks for the positive interest.

I’m working up some samples as will post pics and links to the Replica Metal Soldiers listing this weekend.

Any ideas of figures in the tradition Britains style you would like to see let me know. I may have them in the line up and more than happy to develop the range to fill gaps.

Hi Andrew - I was looking around the Internet earlier today - looking at some of the sets that Pat had made - and came upon some Pirates by him - I believe the set was Treasure Island based - and I came upon this pic:

Hi

They are a jolly bunch of Pirates! I have seen these in the Moulds. So yes they will eventually be released!

If I can I will try to have a stand at the December show and will have them available.

I’ll keep updating here of progress over the coming months.

Working on some new lines too in the traditional style, which I will let you more details of. Busy times!

Good luck with this - I know what it is like taking on a range and trying to make sense of moulds and masters - having spent time working through the All the Queens Men ranges.

It is also good to see another glossy figure manufacturer still going...

Great stuff - well done Andrew - looking forward to owning a set myself - when I get some more time for them!:D jb

I have located the Moulds for all but 3 of these, however there are anotger 6 not show in this picture or in the original listing I have, together with some others that I have in the masters draw! So if the demand is there then pirates will be on the stand at the replica stand London show that I’m planning on having a trade stand at.

Sounds even better!

I like 'em - any others out there who do too??? jb

Hi

Getting listings and website sorted so hopefully be launching in the next few weeks.

Here are a few sample bandsmen from the military band range . I’m working on other examples for the website and trade stand. Pics not great but gives a flavour on what I’ll be offering as both painted and cast figures. There are RA Mounted band on foot, figures in greatcoats, versions of marines and other basic figures which with different uniform colours and detail give literally 100’s of variants! As James Opie and I agreed, with toy soldiers the possibilities are endless!

There will be at my last count 40 different band types maximised at Britains did by combinations of body and heads. I’ll be releasing these from now to the December Show in London, (which I plan to have a trade stand at), together with the Indian army range, Replica originals in the Britains Style and recasts of classic military and civilian figures (and of course JB Pirates!). I’ll also be releasing some Artillery teams and other logistics items! Plenty to keep me busy for the next few months!

All sets will be made to order both Castings and painted so that I can focus my resources and give customers what they want. Any combination, any quantity!

What specifics or themes would you as collectors be interested in? Bands? Artillery? Cavalry? Campaign figures? Open to suggestions!

Looking for goodies to take to the London show so Let me know.

Castings will start at £3 for a basic foot figure. £8.50 for Mounted. Postage will always be at cost. Painted foot to start from £7-£8 Mounted from £14. Spares heads and arms start from 35p

I’ll post more pictures on the forum as i get samples done, and will post website details and full listings when ready. Won’t be long. If there is anything you are looking for in the meantime drop me a line.

All the best
Andrew

I have many other figures I am in the process of sorting and listing and I’ll be regularly updating my lists and website and will also post here.
