Laying siege to Cinderella's castle! (1 Viewer)

On an interesting note- something I forgot when I posted this, emerging from under the archway of the castle is "King Arthur" - of course that was what I called him ......when I bought that figure at age 9 back in 1981- that my friends, is my oldest toy soldier still in my collection- all the way from childhood- there was this really cool toy shop when I lived in Nuremburg that always had these huge massed WB Details cavalry charges- the one day, I made enough from cleaning dishes for the fam and went and bought my first figure- there are some others in there as well which were added on later as reinforcements.

One day in the distant future your daughter will be looking to take back her childhood memories, so prepared to lose this beautiful castle. In the meantime it’s a reminder to you of past experiences. Precious. Robin.

Hey Chris,
Really cool to see those old Britains Deetail figures. Love the castle! I have about a dozen of those knights obtained in the late 70s/early 80s. Will have to post.
Great stuff! Appreciate you sharing; and a great display it is.

What's cool about the castle is that it has some electronic gizmos like lightup scenes at the base, loud bell noises, etc- it's a full on playset. Some of the doors are "hidden" too so only the most faithful of the Order can know the true layout of the castle ha ha

The hidden door reminded me of the Armies of Middle Earth Helms Deep 'castle' I purchased for my kids in early 2000's, it was a lot of fun with seige weapons etc, scale was close to 1/30 scale.

Helms Deep and figures etc are most likely packed away in a box now. I gave my large Neca Balrog to my oldest son, he has it on display in his loungeroom, wing span about 3 feet, it is AWESOME and a bit scary  😃
