Thought I should start sharing pictures in my own thread as I build out my Napoleonic collection:

Hi Larry, Boy you really jumped in with both feet, you just can't beat French Line figures.

Are those the old Voltigeur firing figures from the 85th on the left ?

Can a Modnor Admin fix my French mistake and change it to La Grande Armee?

Looks great, they'll be storming the great redoubt in no time..........

First Legion far and away does the widest and deepest variety of Napoleonics, basically everything you need to do the 1812 campaign in Russia from the initial invasion, the battles leading up to and including Borodino and the retreat back to France....................

A 1st Light Infantry NCO bellows at his remaining troops to fall back from skirmishing to the protection provided by a line Infantry battalion using a small brook and bridge as some cover from enemy horsemen

His men race for a small bridge, but an enemy skirmisher has already taken his toll:

the line detachment does their pest to provide covering fire, but they start taking their own casualties

Here is my Mounted Napoleonic collection. Taking a cue from Harry, I have them on a lazy susan:

I don't collect this era, but sure love the figures-incredible detail.

I took some packing foam and whipped up a quick base for my Retreat from Russia figures:

I know it is technically bad form, but I like the haunting shadows of the "eagle" / crow in the background. Almost like the ghosts of their brethren are following.

Very nice collection Larry. Well displayed and nicely photographed.

Bradley130 .... your packing foam as a quick base is a great idea. Many thanks for the tip 🙏

Nice collection. Ground cover, be it snow, grass or soil, makes a big difference.
