I've just received news that Len Taylor, founder of Trophy Miniatures, passed away on Friday.

Sorry to hear this. Although my interests have changed, I still have my very excellent Trophy AZW figures as part of my glossy collection. RIP. -- Al

Len's Trophy of Wales toy soldiers brought me back into the hobby. I can't even begin to count the hours of fun and happiness his products provided me. Getting a package of Trophy miniatures helped relieve the stress of running my business and raising a family. I met Len many times and he was a real artist and gentleman. Made lots of specials for me and always listened to his customer's suggestions and requests.
I still have hundreds and hundreds of his figures, artillery, vehicles and scenics. Even as I scale down my collecting and sell off a portion of my collection I find it very hard to part with Trophy items. I will leave my children and grandchildren with some of his more iconic sets and hope they will stay in my family for generations to come.
A true leader, innovator and hero of our hobby.
Rest in Peace Len and my sympathies to his family.

How very sad.

My condolences to his family, friends and all the collectors who knew Len.

I hope he finds peace from his health issues now he is at rest.

Regards,

Malcolm.

This is indeed tragic news. Len was a giant in this industry, and I loved his products, especially his WWI items. He will be missed. My condolences to his loved ones.

I was very saddened to learn of Len Taylor's passing last week.

He created in Trophy Miniatures of Wales some of the finest toy soldier sets and figures in gloss.

I did not have the honour of meeting him, but I valued my PM exchanges with him some 5 years back.

It was not difficult to tell he was a very warm person with a great sense of humour.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to his family.

Respectfully, Raymond.
