Anyone looking to sell/or know anyone who's looking to sell any of the retired K&C Ancient Egypt Diorama (for lack of a better word) pieces?

I'm thinking specifically of the Temple Facade, but also the Sphinx, Pharaohs Head, Scaffolding etc. (Everything but the Obelisk, which is still widely available).

I'm thinking, with Temple Facade in particular, that it's not only a beautiful piece that compliments the AE pieces, it works for my modern day desert troops, and any future North Africa pieces. Not to mention my British 24th from the AZW collection...if only they had some Matte Sudanese to shoot at.

I've done business with at least one member of this board who hopefully will vouch for my honesty etc.

Mark,

I'd keep tabs on ebay, as these show up on a reasonably regular basis, and the prices aren't generally too bad for retired pieces.

The recent prices on Ebay for these diorama pieces has gone down quite a bit. They show up now and then - keep your eye out - they should reappear.

I keep trying. The problem is google caches e-bay exchanges, so I go through hits showingg ebay listings from like five different countries every time and they all turn out to be old ones.

Does anyone know if there's a way to set e-bay to search for certain search terms automatically?

Re: LF King & Country Ancient Egypt and HK Gateway Diorama Pieces

bump...but not without good reason:)

Still looking for AE11-14 without any luck

Also looking for the Streets of Hong Kong Gateway, which I missed when I had to take some time off from the hobby for personal reasons

Still willing to pay cash for any of the above, but...

I have some rare K&C AK figures...all the camels for instance, also some Figarti Vietnam pieces that have been discontinued and I'd be willing to make a trade. For that matter, if someone has any of the ancient egypt diorama sets or the HK gateway, and has anything they want to trade, if I have it, I'll trade it, or do my best to locate it for you.

Eventually if I don't find them, I'm going to have to consider what AE pieces I do have

Another thing I'd consider trading is W. Britain's WWI stuff...I have pretty much everything. Everything I own is new (just started collecting) and in excellent (perfect?) condition, with boxes. I love those pieces, it would be more of a matter of space/finances than getting rid of them.

Also...while I'm rambling...as a general proposition, do whole/large sets sell better or worse than individual pieces

Another question - how important are boxes to collectors? I ask because, well, the boxes take up substantially more room in my apartment than the actual figures. I'm only holding on to them for possible future storage/sales.

SAVE THE BOXES!!! In all seriousness, boxes really help if you ever have to sell. As to selling, individual sets usually yield a better price than entire collections.

Which gateway are you looking for in SOHK?

I was afraid you'd say that re: boxes. They take up so much space...

As for the SOHK gateway, I'm looking for SOHK 168, the so-called "stealth release" that I believe was a dealer only exclusive:

Thanks,

I got a 168, it is an awesome piece. I have no idea what the value will become on that one, there has never been much talk on it, so who knows?

As for Egypt, be patient, you will get those pieces at retail or somewhat above, they are worth it.

The boxes are very importent in my opinion as they are part of the set almost as much as the figures, especially if you might want to sell down the road.
