Now comes the real test...who can they bring in to replace him. If they don't have someone in the wings this may turn into a disaster. This is a coaching graveyard...but the expectations are pretty low. Get to the NCAA Tournament once every 5 years and you'll be loved forever!

It worked in football because we got a good coach who came from NU..and is 100% committed to the school. Unfortunately, I can't think of any former hoops players who coach.

I really hope Carmody can find a good position somewhere...he deserves it.

Pete, just read Chris Collins, longtime Duke assist, will be the new coach. Promised to take the Wildcats to the Dance. Sounds like a good pick. Chris

Hey Chris, I watched UMd lose to the Iowa team in the NIT semis last night. Same year long problems did them in again, too many turnovers and out of control play by the ball handlers. On the upside, Len played a terrific game, on both sides of the ball, and kept UMd in the game until the end. Couldn't do it by himself though. 25 win year is a pretty decent year for the Terps. -- Al

Hi Al, completely agree. I watched most of first half and remarked to my wife "they've turned the ball over about a hundred times." Some exageration there, but not much. :rolleyes2: THey had an excellent season. Will need a big man to step up next yr for Len. Chris
