Little Legion (2 Viewers)

Had some time to snap a couple of pics yesterday, a little mix of new and old. The Surgeon w/Patient set and 17th Lancer sets are recent arrivals, the 24th Foot w/Standard, Zulus and River Boats have been around for a while. :smile2:

It's time again to send along the calendar of the month and once again I've taken the liberty of using one of Buster photos for it. Here's wishing all a great month...........The Lt.

Hope you will enjoy...these holidays my kids and I came up with an imaginary First Boer War ( a mixture of Little Legion and Throphy plus Stadden/Britians....a great idea for large scale operations ) at which the 24th foot were taking the beating from the " Young Boer Farm Boys with there mausers..." two Regular battalions marched in with the support of the RHA and a section of machineguns from the Navy...by the time the pics were taken the first battalion was nearly all wasted and the second one was matching into battle in " close formation...deal for Farm hand target practice on red bulls heads...." {sm2}{sm3}^&grin Lord Roberts were are our Khaki uniforms.......

I wish that Little Legion were to come up with a maxim machinegun like this one it would be a great add on in our collections....I have seen something like it on a tripod but it does not come as a blockbuster item as this one on a wheeled base!!!:salute::^&grin:wink2::rolleyes::):smile2:

I wouldn't be surprised if Mike has one in the works Luiz, he recently released a Gardner Gun so hopefully a carriage mounted Maxim is right around the corner ..... I know I'd buy one ..... or several. ^&grin

Buster, same here , I would also.....the one I show here firing is an old Mountford that I sent over to Mike so that he could add the garrison and it came out so well that I have been waiting for the Little Legion exclusive one for over 3 years now..gven that Mountford has gone for good from the artillery segment ....why Mike is taking this long to release his is a mystery....{sm3}{sm2}{eek3}.....The one on a carriage and limber is made by Yeomanry Miniatures...
Cheers
