I noticed Rob recently posted a thread with lots of questions about Little Round Top...with lots of very informative responses from Treefroggers. At that time I was on the road for a few TS shows, including the one at Gettysburg. The night before that show, I arrived at the only hotel in town with a vacancy (and for good reason)...the one benefit was that it was virtually on the battlefield...so I did help myself to a little Gettysburg soil and turf for use in a Little Round Top diorama. I had been planning to build a Little Round Top diorama to display the new March Through Times range of Civil War figures (which we carry on our website...hint, hint). I thought I would post a few photos of the completed diorama (with figures). Please pardon some graininess, as some photos were taken at a show with a phone/camera. Note that I did take a few visual liberties with the terrain, but don't feel restricted in any criticism of any blatant blunders on my part :).

Looks terrific Nicolas, really very good.I love your ground work here, very realistic. Can I ask about the background, excuse my eyesight, but is that a prepainted backdrop or lots of trees you've put together?. I like the figures too, are they 1/30?. Thanks for posting this superb scene.

Rob...the background is simply a printed photo...and I agree these figures are excellent, and they are 60mm. These are the first 5 sets of an anticipated 30-40 sets, the next 5 sets to be released in about a month including flag bearers of the 15th Alabama and 20th Maine. You can see close ups of the sets here: http://crowntoysoldiers.com/MarchThroughTimesMiniatures.aspx

Impressive ground work Nicholas you have the makings there of a very fine dio and right up my street.

Nice groundwork! You have got the "look" of this low sloping rocky location. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it.

Nice dio. The new figures can be seen in color at the March through Times website and I believe that 1/30 is the scale. -- Al

Thanks Nicolas, they look very good. Great to see you/they will be in London in June and will look forward to checking these out. Great work on the dio.^&cool

Very nicely done Nicholas an got a good hunch you'll leave Texas without it.

Taking a break from mowing my lawn and thought I would spend a few minutes to see what was happening on the forum. Came across your thread Nicholas and found it to be very enjoyable. Looks like Larry has developed a nice line of ACW figures. I'll have to take a closer look at them. Very nice dio you have presented here for our viewing pleasure . . . .
