LONDON 6th DECEMBER 2008 (1 Viewer)

Hi Rob

Will there be any chance of stopping you shopping for a quick word or two at the December show. And please don't tell me again you have to leave at 0900hrs to catch a train to Chiswick or wherever you have disappeared to during the last two shows.

I will be in attendance with lady partner in tow as I have promised to buy her something from the stands.;) and yes I have fibbed a bit by telling her we are going to the Ideal Home Exhibition.
I wont be wearing a frogger badge you'll be able to easily recognise me by the damaged face:D

Back in the single days - Women love to see those large Curio Cabinets full of Toy Soldiers - they thought it was cute ... that false sense of security enabled many tactical maneuvers ;) :D :p

Yeah I'm not too sure how much truth there is in the above statement. Maybe you got the Crying Game going on there. Only kidding of course. If we had any women on this forum we could take a poll maybe.

Take Care

I'm not staying in London this trip Rob-travelling up by Virgin Train from Devon early morning and heading back in the evening. So hopefully should be there about 1030hrs or close to.

There is not much I want this time-Britains ACW haven't released their cavalry figures yet and the Conte Zouaves I'm sure wont be available this side of the pond until next December's show. Do need quite a bit from John Gittings re Dio stuff and I'm also looking for half dozen Alamo Mexicans from Tony if he has them in stock. But that's about it am really coming to see you and meet a few of the other guys especially Simon and Jeff-that's if Simon has finished having all of his teeth out.

Another denominator for making this trip cheap is we are off Stateside the following week staying with some good friends of ours in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area until the new year and seriously intend raiding any TS stores I can find there that's of course as long as the £ doesn't collapse completely against the $.

Look forward to our chat and will see you on the ice.

I'll be there, and instantly recognisable as the guy spoon feeding himself Cow & Gates Apple Puree with one hand, and wiping the dribble up with the other. 'ansome. ;).

Should get there for about 7.50am, just in time to start laying the seeds of doubt in Rob's mind, about the wisdom of max-ing up his credit cards on lumps of metal and polystone.
