London Show Pictures - December 2013 (3 Viewers)

Apologies for being late and thank you for the guys who have already posted.

Great show and good to see a large crowd as well. Nice to see the debut of Open File, I wish them the very best in their venture.

Good to see the gang again with new lad Dave joining us in the pub. See if you can stay longer next time and we can introduce you to drink and buy, where after a few beers you head back to the show and try and buy any remaining stock from just about anyone. Works wonders for your bank balance. Rob we missed you mate.

Some good products on show yesterday. On the K&C stall (or KnC) were the new "plastic" Shermans which I must admit certainly looked better in the flesh than it did online. Would I buy it, probably not as I don't collect US Army WWII but do a Brit or German vehicle and I might. The Mexican figures did look good though, be interesting where they go next.

My highlights for the show were the TG Spitfire, Heritage Indians and Cavalry and the ATS ECW figures.

What did I buy -

7 K&C Grey German Inf, 1 K&C Glider Pilot, a sack full of Britains Zulus and Nile figures and a set of ATS Bluecoat ECW figures (see the Photo).

The best part of these shows is the meeting up with my fellow collectors and the traders. As always good to see you and roll on March.

Have a great Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Andy

To all the posters here, who contributed to this wonderful coverage of yet another great show, as it seems {bravo}}
Thank you very much for giving us a thorough overview of one of the finest shows.

OD, those are from the original range that K&C made a while back.

Cheers! :salute::

Hi Jeff,

scrolling through the great pictures taken at the show when I noticed the two horse gun team which you indicated was on the Hiriart stand. Can you give any more details as the figures appear to be Alan Caton sculptures and he tells me that he has not made any figures for them.

Regards,

Yeoman.

More Hiriart.

Jeff

Great pics Fellas, thanks to you all. Can anyone tell me who makes this beauty?
Wayne.

Brian,

I think the chap selling the Hiriart sets had other figures for sale as well.

Wayne,

It was on the Yeomanry Miniatures stand but made by Toy Army Workshop. For more info I would give yeoman a PM.

Thanks Jeff, I was having a blonde moment! I did find the answer after checking all the great pics from the show.:wink2:

These are for Ray and any other Flat collectors! :salute::

Jeff

Thank you Jeff, quite the selection, Not sure if it is your excellent and thorough coverage but the London show looks to have a far wider spectrum with a much greater variety of figs and manufacturers! I think Marco mentioned it, many cottage mfgers, less commercial and more personable?
And you English cousins work hard and provide the best of coverage.
Thanks again,
Ray

Looks like it was a great show. I was there in spirit!! {sm2}

Love those Frontline Greeks- will be neat to see where they go with that. The JJD WW1 Mark V is a beauty as well

Tom- great to hear you got to get over there and have fun.

Thanks to all you guys for the splendid pics, top work as usual guys. Gutted not to be able to join you as normal this time, but life has got in the way of late and so am not around here either so much anymore but I'll try and be there in March, hope you all had a blast:salute::

Rob, you were missed, especially by Bob who was looking forward to his large G&T! :wink2:^&grin

Seriously, it was the most attended show since it's been at the BDC and the Bar Staff were a couple of very nice young Ladies! {sm3}...I can't for the life of me understand why one of us didn't get a photo? :redface2:

I'll catch up with you soon. :salute::

Jeff

As always the London show is simply overwhelming. Pouring over the photos is quite the task, so much to see and take in I can only imagine being there in person would be that much more sensory overload! {sm2} {sm4} Thanks to all who take the time to share photos for us collectors who can't attend shows, its very much appreciated. Lots of cool things on display, really liked the Figarti table with all those planes and tanks. Interestingly it seems these shows overwhelmingly cover any and all non WWII pieces and a considerable amount of glossy and plastic unlike our little forum here.

Great pictures and information. Sorry I missed it. By the next one (March?) I should be up and walking again. Quick question are K&C: are the Mexicans the only figures he will be doing in plastic or are there more to come?

Thanks mate:salute:: Was gutted not to be there mate:( But had to work this time. But I will move heaven and earth to be there in March. Missing two on the bounce would be seen as treason and I would be cashiered out of the drinking gang and forced to spend the day fetching the crisps!^&grin

Hope you had a blast Jeff and will be in touch soon:salute::

Hi Guys,

Thanks for posting all these great photos! I really missed being there this year but I hope to get back again in a year. The photo in the bar was great! Love seeing all the glossy offerings as well as some really interesting companies you don't get to see much. Thanks again for posting them guys.

Dave

Can I also add my thanks to all who took the time and effort to take and post pictures of the show on the forum. Seems I'm even further away from London than ever - but loved all of the pics this time as much as ever.

Loved also some of the pics from suppliers of castings - such as Sarum Soldiers - must remember to earmark a largish set of the Military Orchestra, for sometime in the future from Patrick. You guys ought to be on commission! jb
