December Toy Soldier Show Saturday 6th Dec 2025

Where?
Haverstock School
24 Haverstock Hill
Chalk Farm
London NW3 2BQ
I believe show is 9AM-3PM
Admission is charged.

Matt Murphy from Hobby Bunker and the Chicagoland Toy Soldier Show will be attending.

If you want me to bring anything over for pick up let me know -matt@hobbybunker.com

This is always one of my favorite shows. This will be a very quick trip this time. See the Christmas lights, see friends, hit the Pubs, buy and sell to soldiers and be back at work on Monday!

should be fun. Thomas Gunn will be there as usual.
If you want to see a cool diorama this time im doing an RAF airfield. My usual 8x4 table has been enlarged to 8x6 feet. Got some airfield maps printed on PVC in Lithuania. Got a 1:30 scale 3D hanger printed and painted by Paul Bell along with bomb trolleys. Got a control tower by David Marshall at TM Terrain. And full of K&C/TGM figures/vehicles and 3x TGM 1:30 scale British bombers. Need to do a trial run assembling it to be sure if looks ok....not much time till the show now!

I'll be there with a friend and hope to meet more tree froggers.

See you on December 6th.

Richard

This was posted in the General Matte forum, but it's probably more relevant in this thread:

We talked about this years ago, too. I made my own badge in Word by printing the logo and using an Avery badge.

Prost!

I received this pin from Treefrog many years ago.
Maybe they still have it.

where are the pictures? you guys are usually pretty good at getting them out. we appreciate it on this side of the pond

guess I'd better ad some more info on the airfield;
3 large bombers all Thomas Gunn - mahogany made in the Philippines. Lancaster in the hanger, Halifax outside and Sterling at the rear (the big boy!)
Airfield mat custom printed in Lithuania by custom@deepcutstudio.com
1:30 scale 3D printed hanger by Paul Bell bellarus6666@gmail.com as were the bomb trolleys being towed by the K&C tractors
Control Tower laser cut wood assembled and painted by David Marshall at TM Terrain as was the tiny toilet next to the hanger - gotta have one of those!
Bofors gun Figarti
Almost all the vehicles K&C as were almost all figures. few are Thomas Gunn.

Overall the show was good. All dealers happy as were the organisers. plenty of footfall. Queues to get in at times in the morning which was great.

Thanks for sharing. The Scimitar and MG Jeep are on my radar. Wonder how I get these from London to Australia 😀. Robin.

These were the items that Andy was talking about in July when he was in Sydney, good to see them all now.

They will be released next year, so leave some space on your battlefields for them if you can Robin,

Very impressive diorama. The pieces from Paul and David certainly add to the whole scene.

Show was great the plastic modellers added to the show, my pick ups below, the JJD Saxons and the barbed wire sets were a pre order [Stefan picked them up for me when he over in Australia]. 2 new Battle of the Bulge figures [£45 and £46], 3 K & C Germans WSS118 [£90] and their JadgPanther [£195]. Also picked up a few books [new Osprey book on Tanks in Italy is a good read] and a lot of dio making stuff, some already premixed ground work that will work great on my Culloden groundwork dio i am looking at making.

T Gunn had the new FFL [3 or 4], German Mountain troops [3], the radio operator looks excellent and 7 or 8 new Napoleonic British Line Infantry [28th Reg], there will be 7 or 8 more, to create a British Square. All the needed figures will be there, 2 Flagbearers, drummer, multiple officers and NCOs The new releases will be available from late next week and the newsletter and info will be on Treefrog bwfore next Wednesday.

Spoke to Andy, on good form, he was talking about some great new releases for 2026 and they do some awesome, the Market Garden Jeep looked excellent, so did the LC and the Falklands stuff. Saw, in the flesh, some of the new Battle of the Bulge and Classice Germans, but was well behaved and kept to my £500 budget for the show.

Stefan's diorama was the highlight of the show, his dioramas are becoming a must see and are always a hit at the show.
Knowing Stefan, he has already planned for not only for the next show, but the next 3 or 4. His AK dio, with the supply ship, was featured in the last Toy Soldier magazine.
