Panzer Meyer,

Regarding your comment :

"Nice good to see at least one ME that is not a tail siter".

If you read the various threads you will find the majority who have actually bought one have been happy with their purchase and some (including Wayne before his arrived) have commented that even if it was a tail sitter they would still buy it.

From my personal knowledge and from posts by actual buyers it would appear the majority are not tail sitters.

Regards
Brett

Certainly is an outstandingly fine looking model. Excellent paint job. -- Al

Yes, it does look very nice.

Now Wayne, we understand no hand and no mirrors, however, the "no drugs" part does have us a little worried about you. You haven't been smoking the evil weed, have you? ^&grin

Lets be thankful they came late in the war or, there may have been a lot more of this terrible scene the devastation of speed and 30mm canons!!. The colourway does look very nice in the pics wayne

So back to the fun, the 262 looks a superb paint job and this is a fine addition to the K&C Luftwaffe, Wayne, better make room for that Stuka^&cool

Before I saw Wayne's photos, I was looking at the Christmas brochure and thought it looked very good.

Probably, the best looking german fighter of WWII and, don't see a better german aircraft done by K&C so far

That works for me , enjoy your ME 262 .

Nice one Wayne and good to see another 'myth' laid to rest. Looks like a mighty fine aircraft model to me.

Now, forgive me if I have missed something, but is there any ACTUAL evidence that the 262 model was a 'tail sitter' in the first place?

I just got the impression that based on the layout (and inclusion of a workbench kinda thing near the tail) in one of the photos announcing the arrival of the model that speculation started to run riot that the plane was unbalanced. This was denied by the K&C headshed but I get the feeling that once enough mud has been thrown at a product, some obviously sticks.

So, is there evidence to suggest that some are tail sitters (although the 'majority' are not) or was this just a myth taking legs and that the truth is that they're all perfectly fine with no tail sitters at all? Not trying to start an argument or debate, just wondering if any have actually been identified as being unbalanced?

I'm curious,

jules
