Whilst I rarley post there is an up side to the latest pricing discussions. When a poly plane was under $200 you could buy 4 planes for the cost of one wooden warbird. This was very hard to justify for me. Now with the Typhoon you can only buy two planes for the cost of a wooden warbird. So I 'bit the bullet' so to speak and purchased a wooden warbird, picking it up in Hong Kong shortly.

As most people cannot buy everything is it not more refreshing to have a choice, some people buy small items, some large, some multiples and some, like myself, save up and indeed dream that one day I can get this or that!

Which Warbird did you get? As the owner of 11 of them, I'm sure you'll be quite satisfied. Please post photos when you can.

Mr. Scott,

Welcome to the wood warbird fraternity. In 1997, I intended to buy a single Spitfire MK V for a small airfield scene built around my K&C wood and papier mache Quonset hut. Its now 14 years and 70-odd wood warbirds later.

Despite my glut of wood warbirds, I am envious of your magnificient Bolton-Paul Defiant. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed my warbirds over the years.
