the Hb Jagdpanthers sold off like hot cakes, and i was caught square.

ironically, if i remember correctly, at that time i decided to use my funds to buy an excellent Panzer book - Vucic's SS Armor in the Eastern Front.

By the time i get the book, all the 4 jagdpanther versions were sold out.

Oh well, you win some, you lose some..

I bought my HB Jagpanther from a dealer only a few weeks back, but I doubt there are any remaining at dealers now, I just got lucky. It was listed as the two color green version but it turned out to be the brown version which isn't as attractive imo, but you have to compromise in this game.

I had intended to sell the K & C Jagdpanther as I have a one variant policy but I have found it hard to part with so far.

I am thinking of purchasing one of these Panthers. I would like to hear from someone who already owns one about what they think about it. Are they impressed unimpressed? How do they stack up against the regular Panthers? I do already own a Panther from Honour Bound and am very happy with it.

Also Treefrog any chance of the winter kitchen set going on sale?

I have a Gold edition Tiger, just bought the winter jagdpanther (awaiting delivery), and already preordered the damaged winter panther.. most probably getting the winter panther too..

i think the damaged panther is fantastic as a supporting piece for your diorama, for e.g a backdrop for your figures, or as a backdrop second tank.

and as Frank had posted earlier in this thread, you could mix and match it well with K&C figures as well.

I ordered the winter since I have the winter berge, but I was looking at the 2 tone as I think it matches well with the King tiger for the fall of berlin. The muddy tracks would be a problem in the city but I thought I might camoflage it with city rubble and brick?
Does that work?

Hi Ray, if you dont mind that the colour scheme of the HB 2 tone will be different from K&C, i do think it could work.

but i do think it will be better if you get the winter one, then you can set up your diorama along the lines of Operation Konrad 1,2 & 3, in Hungary 1945. This was officially the last major german operation, and the objective,odds and chances of accomplishing the missions was just as crazy as the Ardennes Offensive.

Honestly, when I received mine it was right up there among my favorite pieces. I think the mud treatment they've given it is bang on. It's too bad damaged vehicles don't sell because they add a lot of realism to a scene. I'd love to see some knocked out / burned out tanks.
