My problem is I can't say no to any release that is well done! In this era of a wide variety of releases scattered amongst many different ranges and released in small batches that retire far too quickly I'd say "why not make U.S. paras for market garden". I agree with the posts that say they are essential to a MG range due to their historical significance. I'm sure they'd sell and I'd likely buy some if well done. ;)

Alex...

Not sure anyone is complaining about these being released. The question was whether anyone would be interested. some will be and have expressed that some won't and have also expressed that. I think we are cyclical in this hobby and, it seems the time is here for some brit stuff with what is being released and some of the ranges which, are focusing on the brit angle of the war.

You should also know germans sell always have always will not just in this hobby but, also in the model world. If they did not they would not be made.

We all know Germans sell.....And we are the buyers. My Country and Yours won the war with the help of others, we as modelers / collectors control what sells and what dosen't, so all of us should support the Allied side with equal vigor as German suff.

Market Garden was a very linked operation involving the US 101st, US 82nd, Brit 1st Abn and XXX Corps, one could not succede without the other, all should be equally represented. Brit Paras have been done along with Brit Infantry and AFV's, But US Market Garden Airborne has not, and is badly needed. So they should be supported by a conscientious collector / modeler.

If K&C currently is into a Brit thing now , they or some other Manufacturer should get around to it. Alex

You forget the Poles, the Belgian Brigade "Piron" and the Dutch Brigade "Irene"
The Brigade Piron was positioned on the right flank of XXX Corps and formed the link between US and Brit troops. They fought in the Netherlands between the 22 sept and the 17th Nov 1944. On the 29th of september they were included within the 19th American Corps. etc etc ...
so US paras ok but why not also some Belgians and Dutch TS ?????

Bring on the Poles Belgians and Dutch too !.......There is enough German stuff around to choke a horse :)

If King & Country released a set of 101st Airborne to go along with its Market Garden series (with the green M43 uniforms), would you be interested?

Best Regards,
Mike

101st for a particular reason or would the 82nd be welcome as well?
