Can anyone suggest a good mat to use as a base for Brits? I have a medium grass BRama mat for my KC Naps. The KC figs are heavier and stand up well (have to brace the bases of a few, not many). Tried some Brit figs and those in the running pose (one foot raised) don't balance very well. Thanks.

Hudson and Allen would be the natural choice- looks great and one could say they were built for Britains.

That's the only grass bases I use for my WB ACW figure displays and photos.

I would defer to Mike's judgement as he has both.

I have a homemade mat and my Britains figures sometimes suffer the same fate of toppling.

I can highly recommend the JG Grass mats, which not come in a variety of types. My Britains Napoleonics and even the sometimes more challenging FL bases are work in fine with them and they are the most natural in appearance I have seen. Based on the photos, I would think the H&A mats are very nice as well.
