MAY 2026 FIGURE NEWS (2 Viewers)

The 28th of Foot North Gloucestershire Regt
Raised in 1694, the 28th (North Gloucestershire) Regiment of Foot was a line regiment of the British Army. Being in the front line from the late 1600s through to the late 1800s, when it was then amalgamated with the 61st (South Gloucestershire) Regiment of Foot to form the Gloucestershire Regiment.

In 1801, the regiment formed part of the British expeditionary force that landed in Egypt to oppose Napoleon's Army. On 21st March 1801, during the Battle of Alexandria, French cavalry broke through the British lines, formed up behind the regiment, and charged. Still heavily engaged to their front, the order was given "Rear Rank, 28th! Right About Face", and standing thus in two ranks, back to back, the regiment successfully defended itself. After the battle, the regiment began wearing a badge on the back as well as the front of the headdress to commemorate their action, a unique distinction in the British Army that was officially sanctioned in 1830.

The regiment was involved throughout the Napoleonic wars. Fighting in Denmark in 1807, landing in Portugal in 1808, taking part in the Battle of Corunna on 16 January 180, before being evacuated from the peninsula the next day, with a detachment remaining behind and fought at the Battle of Talavera in July 1809. The remainder of the regiment went on to take part in the disastrous Walcheren Campaign in 1809.

Returning to the Peninsula in 1810. The regiment saw action at the Battle of Barrosa, the Battle of Albuera and the Battle of Arroyo dos Molinos in 1811. In 1813 the regiment fought at the Battle of Vitoria and the Battle of the Pyrenees, then pursued the French Army into France and fought at the Battle of Nivelle and the Battle of the Nive. Followed by the Battle of Orthez and Battle of Toulouse in 1814.

The regiment was one of the many Peninsula veteran regiments which were available for the 100 Days campaign and fought at the Battle of Quatre Bras and the Battle of Waterloo, as part of the 8th Brigade commanded by James Kempt, in June 1815. Because of its actions in this campaign, the regiment earned a distinguished mention in the dispatches of the Duke of Wellington.

Collectors have a wide choice of Napoleonic battles and conflicts, from Egypt, the Low Countries, the Peninsula War and the 1815 campaign.

A big thank you to John O'Brien in Australia who aided and abetted with these figures and the guys at the Armoury of St James in London!
Researching and implementing our research into these figures has been very rewarding. The little nuances and intricacies, such as the badge on the rear of the Shako and the regiment number on the water bottle, we feel add to the figure. Giving them depth and a realism, whether they are formed as a Square of displayed as an individual figure of small unit.
We have two new figures to add to our Napoleonic lineout as follows:

NAP72A. Standing Repel – Private
NAP72B. Standing Repel – Corporal. 30 available.

Angling their bayonets outward like the "spines of a hedgehog”. They stand in the square, under cannon fire ready to repel the French cavalry, while others in the ranks return withering fire.

NAP73A. Kneeling Firing - Private #2
NAP73B. Kneeling Firing - Corporal #2. 30 sets available.

Our first release of a kneeling firing was very popular and we have been asked to re-release the figure, which we have. With one difference, this figure is kneeling on his left leg whilst the first rifleman was kneeling on his right leg.

All NAP figures are priced at $50/£45 each.

The officer with flag should be available next month. NAP060 standing firing rifleman is being released in an updated format soon as well

The Foreign Legion

The latest addition to our FFL range includes a new officer with eye patch, Legion flag and pistol drawn.

The Rif cavalry, the mountain gun and police outpost building to follow later this year.

WW2 Germans

ACCPACK095. Pak 40 75mm Anti Tank Gun with Crew
ACCPACK095B. Pak 40 75mm Anti-Tank Gun

During World War II, the primary 75mm anti-tank gun used by German forces was the Pak 40, with 23,303 guns produced. It was the backbone of German anti-tank units from 1942 onwards and was highly effective against almost all Allied tanks, including the Sherman and T-34.
After WW2, the Pak 40 remained in service in several European armies, kept in service into the 1960s. North Vietnam also received some during the Vietnam War. Six ex-Portuguese Army Pak 40s divided into two artillery detachments were stationed in Dili during the Indonesian invasion of East Timor in 1975.

German Fallschirmjäger (paratrooper) units used the Pak 40 anti-tank 75 mm gun during World War II, particularly in the latter war years (1943-45). Whilst originally designated airborne forces, the high losses of these elite infantry during the 1941 Crete campaign, forced them to fight as mainly ground-based infantry and Panzerjäger (tank hunter) units in Italy, France, and the Battle of the Bulge, although there were late war airborne drops, they were never on the same scale as Crete.

We are offering 2 x Pak 40 anti tank 75 mm gun versions in this release.

ACCPACK 095A an all metal Pak 40 anti-tank gun with 3 x Fallschirmjäger crew in late war tan and water camouflage uniform. The crew include an aimer looking through the gun sights and two loaders.
Limited to 100 in number and priced at $285/£265

ACCPACK 095B Pak 40 with no crew priced at $130/£110 whilst stocks last and limited to 40 sets worldwide.

A little background behind this set, originally it was envisaged we would have 4 x SS pushing the cannon manually into a new gun position, but it proved impossible to achieve this for one reason or another. After talking with Paul Goodsell and Stefan Farrelly (both great friends of the company) we came up with the idea of a late war FJ team in action, something never done (to our knowledge) in 1/30 scale before. Although the original idea never came to fruition, the compromise came out better than the original idea!

There will be 2 further Fallschirmjäger spotter figures as per the header photo and the last photo, these will be released in June 2026. Check out the photos, they really make a perfect addition to this set to give you a full 5 man crew, or they can be used with a mortar or HMG team, which will follow later this year.

ACCPACK 095B

SS200 The SS Normandy 1944

We have released 4 x new WW2 German SS figures just in time for the anniversary of the Normandy Campaign fought in the summer of 1944. With this latest release based on the famous pictures SS Panzer grenadiers in La Villeneuve du Rots.

These figures include:
SS-Schütze Klaus Schuh with his MG-42 machine gun, he was killed 26th June 1944
SS-Sturmmann Otto Funk, with a box of ammunition for MG 42 machine guns slung over his shoulder. He was wounded on 26th June 1944 but survived the war. Otto Funk died in 2011 aged 85
Our smiling Knight's Cross officer cannot be seen in the original photos below, but we felt this would enhance the set as well as the SS Grenadier with the MP40. There were over 100 x SS in Rots at the time of the photo, we sincerely hope you enjoy this new release based on original photographs and also our use of artistic licence for 2 of these figures.

Here is the story behind that historic day on June 9th 1944. At around 0900 hours, the 3rd Company of the 12th SS-Panzer-Regiment rumbled through Rots towards la Villeneuve on the Caen-Bayeux highway. They were ordered to assault Norrey en Bessin, with the support of a small number of infantry from SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 25.
The attack was to be in conjunction with infantry attack from the Ist Battalion of SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 26 south of the village.
Twelve Panthers fanned out in a single line at a right angle to the rail embankment. Approaching the village the company swung left keeping in a solid line with their fronts towards the village in anticipation of confronting the Canadian anti-tank guns. Nine Sherman tanks from the 1st Hussars including several 17pdrs "Fireflys" were moving towards the front to reinforce the Reginas' position in Norrey. The majority of the Sherman tanks were navigating through the village, but one Firefly, commanded by Lt G. K. Henry, worked his way around the village to the front where he spotted the advancing Panthers. The 3rd Panzerkompanie, swung to the left, to protect themselves from the 6-pounders in Norrey, but exposed their flanks to Lt Henry at not more than 1000 metres distance. The Canadian tank opened fire hitting the tank nearest the rail-line first. Incredibly Lt Henry fired five shots and knocked out five Panthers. A sixth was accounted for by another “C” squadron tank.
The surviving Pather crews, along with their supporting infantry retreated back to an underpass where Canadian artillery began to pound the area inflicting even more casualties. The attack of the Ist Battalion, SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 25 never materialized leaving the assault a complete failure.

These figures come in a 4 man box and are some of the highest paint quality so far from the Thomas Gunn studio, as attested by those who saw these on display at the London show.

Priced at $220/£200 per 4 man box set.

German sets are most impressive, what a pleasant surprise.
Although I'm building quite an artillery, can't go wrong with the iconic Pak 40. I like the grey barrel for a nice change.
Late war Fallschirmjäger is a great idea and I look forward to the additional two figures.
Some allied/US troops would be most welcome to create a battle scene.
Outstanding!
