Medieval hall (1 Viewer)

Right now it's on the kitchen table. I haven't quite figured out where to put it yet!
You know me....love it, order it, worry about it later! hahaha

I'm looking into getting a case made for it since it's way too big to go in a cabinet

A wonderful addition to your collection Zach, as always David puts a ton of effort into anything he builds and it always shows in the detail such as this fine piece...Sammy

Just a quick update - it's not completely full, but this is how it looks now. I finally got the acrylic cover made, so no longer worried about dust!

That is just about the most spectacular display I have seen in the hobby to date!!^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool

That's BRILLIANT !!!

Looks just like the real thing, all you need is a roaring fire in fireplace..... but don't do that .... it may catch fire !!!! {eek3}

Who makes the figures???

John

WHAT!!! no flag bearers again! Between this and that **** flawless pachyderm you really need to step it up!?!?!
I suggest you put this and the pachyderm out on the curb.....

By the way, what was your address again?

What a brilliant structure and the scene you have created looks great with all that food on the table! It makes me hungry and want to scoot off to the shops to buy a roast chook with all the trimmings...:p

Lots of food for thought here, all this wonderful stuff would fit so well with my Robin Hood series, hope Andy drinks this in. Robin.

Great addition to your collection Zac.
I was aware of the scene being developed following conversations with John F. This I think was probably some of the last figures he painted before hanging up his brushes. Can I ask did he also, paint the food accessories. When two of the best in the hobby John and David come together the results are truly spectacular!
The layout possibilities are also limitless.
All the best
Martin

Tremendous piece. Louis is right, this is probably currently the highlight in our hobby.

Thanks for all the comments. I really couldn't be happier with how every part of this came out.

The figures were purchased from John eden. I don't know if they are his, or if he was just the one selling them. John f. Might recall.

I can't wait to play around with this more. So many different figures can work with this. I never would have thought to do it, but I love that david created a small "back yard" for some exterior scenes as well!

John painted all of the banquet figures and food. The two ladies alone in the aisle were from someone in Russia, and the figures out side were painted by John eden. The horse is John Jenkins. I took the kids out back from my medieval marketplace diorama. They have since been returned so I'll have to get some stuff for the castle yard in this one.

We now understand why Louis wanted to trade his Trophy ship!

Brad

P.S. Andreas' castle is up there too. That is superb.
