Well, that ought to get some modern armour guys looking into this thread...:)

I did allude to these vehicles in another thread. Celtic and Egyptian. I got these metal castings from Irregular Miniatures and am now assembling them together. I may change some details on these pieces as I read more into their construction.

So are you planning an Israelite chariot, or was it just a play on words? ^&grin

Pure marketing. Key words such as Waffen SS, Modern Armour and Napoleonic or French terms seem to generate the most interest. However, I tend to operate on the fringe...:)

Anyway back to these archaic armoured cars, I filed down the wheels on the Egyptian chariot, as all visual and textual references indicate that these were the "Ferraris" of the ancient world (here we go again). Assembly of these castings is not easy, as there are no attachment lugs for the parts. Poles added in these pics. I will modify the yokes on both chariots as the castings show an enlarged boss for each. However, all visual evidence that I see shows no such thing.

I was pleased that Irregular Miniatures agreed to sell me the chariots without the riders and horses as I wanted to create my own.

I spray painted these chariots in matt white. Looks like they are ready to take on some horse power and passengers.

I couldn't locate this thread for a while (forgotten that I had used Merkava to mean chariots....:)). Anyway, I came across the bow parts for the Eqyptian chariot and, before I misplace them, decided to epoxy them to the chariot now. The chariot is completed now and I have a choice of either two horses with charioteer or a single figure pulling this chariot along to park it.

Finally, decided to start underpainting these as they were uncovered in my recent collection overhaul.

Aannd guess what? I managed to unearth the celtic chariot and two ponies that I had made then but was too ashamed to show them. These were originally based on Mokarex/Cafe Stomre mounted horses which were undersized in 54mm scale. I cut these up and added my own horse resin heads.

Well Im trying to get them more equine looking..... I shortened one leg and added manes. Look out, Dungeons and Dragons fans....
