Over on Toy Soldier Chat, there was some discussion whether toy soldier manufacturers such as King and County were copying other peoples ideas and just where did they get their ideas from.

Andy has responded as follows:

Hi Guys,

Tell me something I don’t know… I have never made any secret of the fact that my inspiration comes from a wide variety of sources – actual photos… documentaries… books… movies… illustrations… other figures… comics… you name it, I’ve used it.

If any of you ever get to Hong Kong pay me a visit at my H.Q. and you will see “floor-to-ceiling” books magazines, dvd’s, videos and much, much more.

These important references plus my own military experience and, I believe and hope, a bit of originality all go into the unique mix that makes King & Country what it is today.

Fortunately for us and K&C’s growing band of collectors it seems to work.

Best wishes and …happy collecting!

Andy C.

Andy,

I think its really good that you draw inspiration from a wide source for your work.It must be hard to ignore the pleas, begging and subliminal messages you receive,PEGASUS BRIDGE.You must use your own judgement PEGASUS BRIDGE and try to release the sets you think will work best PEGASUS BRIDGE.I for one will never PEGASUS BRIDGE join those who continue to demand PEGASUS BRIDGE that you release what they want.It must PEGASUS BRIDGE drive you up the wall to hear people constantly PEGASUS BRIDGE moaning about what they want.

I would never behave in such an overt and overbearing manner.

Best wishes
Rob
PEGASUS BRIDGE.

PEGASUS BRIDGE

We can all be a bit shy and retiring in asking for a certain series to be made.

Hey Rob and Easy, Would you like a glider to go with that PEGASUS BRIDGE?:D

re: a glider. You're not too far in the realm of fantasy! One of the early reports for 2006 states that there will be a 1/35th scale Horsa glider in plastic later this year. I can't remember the manufacturer off hand. Sure the model will be about 15-20% too small for K&C, BUT it would be fine in the background of a scene.

Eazy, what's your point...:p Michael

You want a glider? Then pester Andy about the warbirds. He has discussed doing a Waco Glider among his first two new warbird releases if he can find a factory in China to make them. By the way, those coming to the symposium will see a K&C Horsa Glider.

I think there are a few of us who would like to see more brit or polish paras and a glider. No offence but plenty of US paras, and very good they are too.

I'm with Kevin on this one. Let's see more British Paras and hopefully a plane to carry them.

Yes I'm with the others on the "Bridge To Far" Series which is my favorite.

I would love a Pegusus Bridge Series with Gliders for Louis, and a few of us

oh what the hell most of us.
