Over on Toy Soldier Chat, there was some discussion whether toy soldier manufacturers such as King and County were copying other peoples ideas and just where did they get their ideas from.

Hi Guys,
Tell me something I don’t know… I have never made any secret of the fact that my inspiration comes from a wide variety of sources – actual photos… documentaries… books… movies… illustrations… other figures… comics… you name it, I’ve used it.
If any of you ever get to Hong Kong pay me a visit at my H.Q. and you will see “floor-to-ceiling” books magazines, dvd’s, videos and much, much more.
These important references plus my own military experience and, I believe and hope, a bit of originality all go into the unique mix that makes King & Country what it is today.
Fortunately for us and K&C’s growing band of collectors it seems to work.
Best wishes and …happy collecting!
