Does anyone know what figures were made for the Mexican War? I think there was a very expensive Buena Vista, an officer & a spy, Zachary Taylor and an American Artillery Battery. Does anyone have pictures of these and how difficult is the Zachary Taylor as I had never seen him until he showed up on ebay?

Art,

If you go to the third page of the Trophy section, Martyn started a thread that shows a lot of the sets, including one I have, Urgent Dispatch. There should also be a list on the Trophy of Texas Website. Martyn and Tommie can, of course, answer any questions.

There were seven sets of the Mexican-American War, 1846-1848 by Trophy. US 1 American artillery Battery; MAW 1 Urgent Dispatch; MAW 2 With Bayonet and Carbine; and MAW 3 Mexican Volley. Trophy of Texas commissioned TT 20 Old Rough and Ready-Zachary Taylor. Then there is BBA 1 Battle of Buena Vista which is a twenty figure set plus bronze barrelled field gun, including Zachary Taylor and a Foot Officer of the 1st regt. of Mexico. There is also a variation of US1 which is US 1V which includes a Cactus with the national bird of Mexico, a Caracaras. All of these appear in the 1998 catalogue. To further complicate matters, there are four 3 piece add-on sets, not appearing in the catalogue of each of the dismounted U.S. Dragoons, Third Indiana Regt., 3rd Line Regt. of Mexico, and the Grenadier Guards of the Supreme Power and a single figure of the Foot Officer of the 1st Regt. of Mexico. Your ebay figure is probably TT20, a single figure. Any of these are difficult to find. Martyn has excellent photos of these sets as designated in his previous post to you.

If anyone is interested I have these Trophy Mexican-American sets available. Just PM me and I will update you. I believe I have the original boxes as well.

NYSoldiers, Please write to me at arostel@yahoo.com. I am interested but your PM box was too full and would not take my message. Otherwise you can send me a PM at knights1212 Thank you.

Great pictures Tommy :salute::

The Big Box set of the BATTLE OF BUENA VISTA is one of my favourites but I am lacking in "Add On" sets

Cheers

Thanks Martyn. I didn't realize the add-on sets were available until I came across these.
