That is a superb piece, been waiting for a Normandy Tiger I for awhile now.........my wait is OVER!
I guess the Panther, PzIV, M8 Gun Carriage, Sherman Easy 8 and Wespe are in doubt.
You are on another winner here Brian, I suspect most of the collectors missed out on your first Wittmann, so finally no excuse now not to have this famous piece. Always love the thrown track option, hatches opening aspect, just somehow makes more than a lump of detailed metal as with other makers. It has come to the point now if TCS makes it, I will not bother with the one from the other makers. Cheers, Robin.
CS easily would have most of my armor business, if I was more comfortable as to relative size to one another, when released...Michael
For all those folks interested in relative sizes of each vehicle in the new 1/30th scale range:
Actual King Tiger Length: 21 FT Height 10 FT 2 INCHES
TCS Model King Tiger: Length 9.5 inches Height 4.5 INCHES
Actual Tiger Tank: 20 FT 8 Inches Height 9 FT 10 INCHES
TCS Model Tiger Tank: Length 9.2 Inches Height 4.3 INCHES
The Tiger I is meant to fill a void in the new correct 1/30th scale range, as the first one we did was incorrectly scaled for 1/30th completely. So those folks that started with CS00357 Panther and up will find this Tiger perfect for the new collection. Hope that helps. I might add when put side by side with the old Tiger as long as it was set back behind the new one they seemed to work well enough, the old Tiger is one half inch shorter than the new correctly scaled variant being released.
Cheers!
Brian
... this will be the end for my marriage!
Brilliant looking Tiger tank. As an ex-tanker I think this is a must have {sm3}

Look good but like the king tiger:smile2:s think the paint work look to bright and would look better weathered
A little baby powder on your fingers tips and just rub it in.It will take away the "Newly Painted Look" and flatten the colors without ruining the tank !Look good but like the king tiger:smile2:s think the paint work look to bright and would look better weathered
Cheer for that :wink2:A little baby powder on your fingers tips and just rub it in.It will take away the "Newly Painted Look" and flatten the colors without ruining the tank !
The decals applied over the zimmerit have been my only real concern with anything I have purchased from CS. I purchased two CS KT's, one with and one without zimmerit. The decals on the KT without zimmerit are fine, no problems. The decals on the KT with zimmerit were a problem and I ended up removing the crosses and tigerhead decals and just handpainting the crosses. The nature of the zimmerit makes it impossible for a decal to sink into the surface and adhere properly. I have a first issue Wittmann Tiger and a Stug, both with zimmerit, that have the adherence issue, as well. I wish some solution could be found but it will not stop me from purchasing the excellent CS models. -- AlThe zimmerit on this model is outstanding, but how will the decals be affixed? That seemed to be a point of concern with the recent Königtiger.
