is there not assistance from the lottery etc that could help the institute with its debts? I know in the UK many similar institute are helped by the UK's national lottery. Seems a shame that a collection like this has to fall under the hammer to make ends meet.

Having said that I have enough room to have an 88mm in the back garden would look nice in grey with some bird feeders hanging from it!!!
