I'm back from the show and am officially caught up on all fronts, so here is my show report.

Myself and my assistant Larry Allen arrived on Tuesday and set up all day and night, opened the rooms up at noon on Wednesday. Room trading was very, very good to me, we were busy the entire time, no slow periods to speak of, we were open 12 hours a day and 8 hours on Saturday.

Show itself was good as well, but IMO, foot traffic was very light, we never got to the point where we were swamped and couldn't keep up with the sales.

Overall, the show was a huge success, number$wise, it was my best Chicago show in 9 years; so once again, it's quality, not quantity.

Here are our room and show day pictures.................

Congrats on a great show!
It was great seeing you and Larry again - always a good time when you guys are around.

Looking through your pictures, I seem to remember seeing five more figures then are in the photos! weird!

Here's my favorite picture.........................

A good friend and customer Tom Dubel to my right, my assistant Larry Allen to my left.

Thanks to everyone who came by my rooms and my show tables and supported me at this show as again, it was a huge success for me, couldn't have done it without all of your support, so thanks again.

I really enjoy this show, it's a ton of work, but the reward is off the charts. I used to love having my Dad at this show, we had a great time and I've got a lot of memories. When he got older and the trip became too much for him, Larry stepped into the void and has done a spectacular job. He's like a second Dad to me, a great friend and a wonderful person, a barrel of laughs and he's got a great perspective on life (I would too if I almost died once and technically did die once like poor Larry has done...........{eek3}{eek3}...........). He's helped me a great deal with my business, I would not be where I am today without him.

The side benefit of the shows is the people you meet, customers and dealers alike who you form bonds and friendships with. I had a ball at the bar Friday night with Julie, Tom, Zach and Larry Wiendorf (you are one grade A ballbreaker, but you're a great guy too.............), had fun socializing in the rooms with Gary, John, Pat, Zach, Tom, Steven, Louis (great to see you back at the show Louis), Jason, Nate, Nate, Al, Brian, Brian, Greg (hang in there, things will improve for you), Ron, Ken and many, many others.

The only downside of the show was learning about the passing of John, aka "The Marxman", that one really hurt and still does. Last year I went to the show with a heavy heart, this year I left with one. Losing friends in the business hurts a great deal, that is for sure.

Until next year.....................

As far as the tank, that's just the angle.

One of the cavalry sold, the bloke pointing, the other 4 are still available.....................

It was great to see you too George, and I was glad to be back. Maybe one of these days you can drag yourself to New York for one of my get togethers!

George has requested I post these pics of us and I am squeezing in one with Larry too!

Glad to hear you had a great show, George! You're absolutely correct about quality, man. See you in Hackensack in a month.

Prost!

But you know what they say, the camera adds 25 pounds, so you need to only drop 5...............I dropped 22 in three months, you can do it.........only problem is I gained 21 of it back at the show, too much good food and booze.....................back to the diet..............had a great time too, the Friday night at the bar was great, a much needed diversion as I prepped for the Saturday move and the Sunday sea of humanity...............oh and sorry that I spelled your name wrong DUBAL..............:wink2:.....................
