What should we advise Missus Heid to use as a new English Name

Cuddly Friends,

Chinese ladies who interface with "Western Foreigners" whether at the office or in domestic situations, generally choose an English name to make it easier for the afore-mentioned Foreigners to remember the lady in question's name. Well, would you remember, for example, Miao Shu Xuan, or, Ziah Yaun-Chang offhand? No, of course not – so you get the general idea.
Missus Heid was moaning recently that she wanted to change her English name cos she's fed up of "Lucy" - plus I reckon she thinks the actress Lucy Liu is getting on in years now and that’s why she doesn't want to be associated with the name any more.
So Gentlemen & Ladies of the forum, since we appear to have been over-run with polls lately, I thought I’d add my little contribution - here's you chance to create a bit of history and help me choose Mrs. H's new English name.

Let me get this straight - Mrs. Heid is going to let this group select her name ? I think Barbara is the patron saint of artillerymen - is that on the list ?

When this poll is over, which is excellent by the way (maybe the poll to end all polls), we need to rename you. Would consort be good?:eek:;):D:p:rolleyes:

I certainly am Jeff.
Enduring the tyranical curfew imposed upon me by my Dad - and what's worse, having to watch his choice of TV programmes - and what's even more worse, having to listen to his choice of music on the radio. Traditional Scottish bloody dance music....!!!! :rolleyes::rolleyes:
It's okay though, the escape tunnel is almost beyond the wire now.

The poll to end polls....hmmm....Rename The Heid.
The mind boggles at the thought of some of the suggestions.
Are you sure you would be able to post the majority of them? ;);)

Not sure about Consort Of The....Etc. Sounds a bit too much like Victoria and Albert. Too submissive.
BTW. I called home today and informed The Empress that I wouldn't be home for at least 5 weeks, and it could end up being 9 weeks altogether before I darken the door of Heid Mansion again. Surprisingly enough, the anticipated banshee screech didn't occur....So I guess she's got her hands on yet another new broomstick to test fly tonight. :eek::eek:

I think the lucy name is just fine, I don't know how long she had it but when i hear the name Lucy, I think of a very independent and crazy lady who did things her way...Lucille Ball...Lucy to us t.v. people.....sammy

Is her maiden name Miao Shu Xuan, like you stated or is that just a point? If it is her name it looks like a dead ringer for Missy. That's my vote...feminine and completely contrarian to her worse half.:D:eek::confused::(:rolleyes:;):p:) Mike
