I watched the Giants v Phillies game last night and you are right. They are flat as a pancake right now. I don't think they have a true firebrand leading the way like when Pete Rose came .

All that aside it was pretty cool to recently see the Nic Cage look-alike, Matt Strahm, use a National Treasure inspired glove.Yes,They beat the Giants today scoring 5 runs in the first inning but had only 1 hit for the rest of the game (they did score 1 more run). They have been terrible with runners in scoring position. Actually since the came back from London last year they have been a .500 club. Even their top 2 pitchers haven't looked good and I don't have too much faith in their relivers. Sanchez and Luzardo have done well.Marsh hasn't had a hit in April.

The Mets have won seven in a row, they look legit but it is still early. The Phillies played the Mets,The Phillies lost 3 to the Mets,The Mets are better.

Right now we’re humming. Best pitching in MLB and best record. Bravos are starting to get it together. A long way to go.The Mets have won seven in a row, they look legit but it is still early.
George:There are 4, maybe 5 teams in the NL that could beat any team in the AL, the AL stinks.
The Dodgers and the Mets would sweep any poser from the AL in a WS.
I am amazed that among the 4 major US sports MLB has the least player to player contact yet it seems to have the most impactful injuries.Fellow Millville NJ resident Mike Trout is sitting out tonight's game. He might have injured his knee running to first base last night. A really great player whose last 5 years have been a nightmare for him due to injuries. It's such a shame as those years were his prime years. If it's something serious I can honestly see him contemplating retirement. He will be 34 years old this year.
