I mentioned this the other day I didn't think anyone else had picked up on it!? I do hope we see montys HQ caravans in the future they have a special place for me as I remember my grandad talking about his time in africa & lisening to monty make a speach from the back of the HQ to some of the 8th army!

I wonder if the HQ is something that will be shown in Chicago. There is a number gap in the EA numbers so maybe they have been reserved for these releases.

And if they were made in Desert and Normandy camo they'd fit right into the new 250 series, pretty rare and in more than one camo.

Monty's Grant would be good but, so would the command vehicle.

Maybe K&C will have a surprise up their sleeve for Chicago.Would like to create a scene with perhaps Monty's caravan,Austin Tilly and some sort of Tent:cool:.

Would prefer the monty caravan but, the grant would be good but, did not figarti do it a short while back. Know this does not mean it cannot be done again but, it seems K&C steer clear of releases from other manufacturers.

Its drawn it up nicely for a good old conversation of what is to come. At the last Chicago we got a preview of the sub so, hopefully we may see some K&C shock and awe

Rob,

About 4 years ago, Andy made two prototypes of the Bedford QL Radio Command Vehicle (the second vehicle depicted in your post), one in 30 Corps markings (in my collection) and one in desert markings (in Clive Gande's collection). He made these prototypes shortly before he made the Austin Tilly prototypes, which he also did not put in production at that time. He has now made the Austin as a production vehicle, so I wouldn't be suprised if the Radio Command Vehicle was put in production as well.

Yes Figarti did two versions of the Grant, but it was some time back now, I would not be surprised to see one from K&C as I imagine they want to cover all the major British armour at some point, they recently did the excellent Firefly after Figarti's version.I wonder if they may also at some point revisit the Matilda, the last one was a long time back, superb release and still one of my faves, love the sky Blue camo scheme.I agree with you re the Monty caravan, this would be such an interesting release, something different and offering some good dio scenarios.

Rob, do you mean one of these? It is edition 1 of 1 DD24A owned by yours truly and modified by Alexdakar.

Thanks for the intel Louis, very kind, I think this would prove a very popular release, I await developments!.

Rob...

The matilda is a real fav of mine and could be done in desert camo and fir FOB one of the tanks that fought against Rommel's Ghost division would be a real good release

You're right Mitch. The early version has really stood up well alongside recent releases, however with K&C's advances in all areas this would make for a terrific new release, as you say in FOB colours would be really nice.

Yes Rob something like that!!! although in desert camo? Seen these in person a few times at Duxford & have wanted a K&C version for ages! Hope we are right?

Craig

Here is my Matilda, been several years since this was released so a FOB version would be most welcome indeed.

It has to come IMO it will be this side of the year as an FOB as we are distinctly lacking in armour for the english FOB forces. couple of piats for the troops and some AT guns will level it out against the stugs and panzer IV's.

Nice pics I cannot think of a better early K&C tank
